Amazon is kicking off their Black Friday deals with even lower prices for 3D Dot Game Heroes, Demon’s Souls, and Bayonetta. The two Atlus games are $14.99 a piece. Bayonetta is just $12.99.

Time Crisis: Razing Storm and inFamous are also on sale for the next six hours for $22.99 and $10.00, respectively.

Clues hint at deals for Fallout: New Vegas, two God of War games, Endless Ocean 2 (with the WiiSpeak microphone), ModNation Racers, and a bunch first person shooters.

They also dropped Star Ocean 4 International from $53 to $29.99 so I grabbed it. Been meaning to get that one for a while.

I was hoping for a nice Castlevania deal but doesn’t look like I’m going to get one :(

  • Ereek

Ah damn. Bayonetta is already sold out/claimed.

  • Ohh god, i need to take this chance…

  • Damnit! I missed 3D Dot Game Heroes! I did get Infamous for $10 though…

    • Aoshi00

I ordered 3D Dot Heroes and Super Bad blu-ray for $20 and $7.99 before. Good thing I canceled those and got the Lightning deals in time at $14.99 & $5 instead. You really need to be vigilant w/ these sales :) Got the Ice Age blu-ray for $5 too, too bad I missed the Night of the Museum 2 for $5… I did get Kick Ass a week ago at $12.99 and now it’s $9.99 though… Also getting Predators from Amazon as well instead of Best Buy saving tax, I’m so cheap being in the Thanksgiving/Blk Friday spirit lol.. No greatest hits red box for me though, the new platinum hits I could kind of live w/. Most of the older movies I have them on DVDs alrdy, just kinda upgrading to B-R..

I hear you on that, its almost maddening trying to keep up with these sales. They change them every few minuets, but its beats the hell out of standing in the freezing cold and paying sales tax to boot.

    • shion16

hey! Infamous is a great game ¬¬

    • urbanscholar

I feel your pain I went to slept thinking I forgot something. I woke up & read this >_<…sigh

    • thebanditking

I went to bed last night around 12 but right as I was about to drift off I got back up, knowing I forgot something and got Assassins Creed Brotherhood on amazon for 40 (I was not paying full boat for the title). Still getting Infamous for 10 is a great thing, its one of my favorite titles this generation.

  • Ugh I was sleep and missed a few. I used my money on AC2 yesterday and now I cant get GoW3, if thats what that happens to be, gah, shouldnt have ate out twice this week :(

    • Aoshi00

I saw the deals and set up my alarms to wake up early in the morning (at 3:30 and 7:30 EST), beats the heck out of going to the stores in such cold weather and stand in lines (standing on line 7hrs for Kinect launch was enough..). Just have to watch out once you add a lightning deal to the cart, check out before the 15min countdown otherwise you won’t be able to buy it again.BTW, UNS2 has just shipped, yay!

  • thaKingRocka

Amazon is delivering some great deals, but this year has been quiet for me. I’ve only spent 15 so far, and only on Steam. I haven’t picked anything up yet for consoles. I’ve been hoping for a Donkey Kong deal.

I thought folks around here might be interested in a particular Steam deal. The Indie Story Pack, which is $5, contains Recettear: An Item Shop’s Tale. I just grabbed the pack. It has some other decent games too of course: Puzzle Agent, And Yet It Moves, Gish, and Jolly Rover. Recettear is normally 20 alone. The deal ends at 1 eastern.

    • thebanditking

Sometimes its like that, last year was quiet for me. This year? I’m just glad I have a job and got my raise, otherwise I would be flat broke (like 3 months ago) . I haven’t even done any shopping for my family members yet, aah good times…lol

    • PersonaBull

Yea, I snagged that Indie Story Pack, too! The only thing I was really waiting for on Steam was Recettear on sale, so that made my black Friday pretty glorious.

  • FireCouch

And I just bought 3D Dot Game Heroes for 20 bucks yesterday off of Amazon…

    • Maybe you could email them and tell about the price drop within hours of your order, they might could give it to you…

      • Aoshi00

I doubt Amazon would accommodate that though because the lightning deals were on a first come first serve basis and all claimed w/in that short time, otherwise people who bought it before (w/o staying up in the morning) could all request for the difference. I bought 3D Dot Game Heroes and Super Bad for $20 & $7.99 originally, good thing it was not processed nor shipped yet. As soon as I saw 3D go up for $14.99 I canceled my original order (frantically) and re-ordered it instead. $5 is not that big a deal, but it’s just annoying you bought it several hours ago and lose $5.

Also there were actually better deals from Amazon before leading up to Thanksgiving, they lowered many new games’ price to $50 at one time, and give $30 credit for buying two games, so that was like $70 for two games/$35 for each, beating the $40 AC2 Brotherhood just now. Still, the Halo Reach/Fable 3/Fallout Vegas deals now are pretty good, at $30-$35.

        • Well it doesnt hurt to try. I know on some things in the past if the price decreased on the day one was charged for the item, then they would sometimes give you the difference as a refund or something.

How do you keep your orders from being charged to you fast? Mine immediately enter shipping soon status like right after I place the order.

          • Aoshi00

It depends on how fast they process your orders, sometimes quickly sometimes taking several days (I imagine it’s slower now since they’re busy). Usually once you placed the order and it’s still not processed, then they might refund you the difference if you request so, w/ Lightning deals I don’t think they would do it, because that savings were specifically for those who waited and “fought” for it (some items you even need to get on a waitlist)Back then (a couple of years ago) Amazon would refund you the difference automatically no questions asked if price dropped w/in a month of your purchase, but they dropped that policy now guess they couldn’t afford it anymore. The tricky thing is to get your order up to $25 w/ some other items in your cart if a Lightning deal is below that (so I did a bit of maneuvering btwn several orders to make sure all are qualified for free shipping).

man, I spent way too much on blu-rays these couple of days, but they’re quite worth it..

          • FireCouch

I’m perfectly fine with it. The game should be fun anyways and 20 bucks is still a steal for it. Yeah, the possibility of them refunding me 5 bucks is zero. Not to mention I have Amazon Prime so It should be here on Saturday or Monday. There isn’t any room for me to email them.

  • PrinceHeir

yay Valkyria Chronicles and Valkyria Chronicles 2 are on sale. $19.99 and $29.99 respectively

Sony please do Demon Souls 2. without the creator Project Dark is still not a Demon Souls 2. no matter what people say.

omo;; rarr so many good deals on games, was browsing it this morning and Bangai-O Spirit for DS is only $3, DragonQuest IX for $17 seriously so many good deals T_T’ if only Amazon.com would ship to Canada. There’s some alright deals on amazon.ca though this time, so at least I have that >w<'

    • I wish I could order on the other amazons…cause I think one of them might have Vanquish on sale and I was looking to get that also :(

      • Code

        No trust me you don’t, amazon.com is by FAR better then amazon.ca they have more items, and more deals, more often xpx;

        • GamerKT

          What’s the website for amazon.ca?

          • MemeticRichard

        • Testsubject909

Last time i checked/tried, which was something like a year or two ago. Amazon.com couldn’t deliver to Canada or cost marginally higher then regular shipping since it was technically international shipping.

So even though there are less items and less deals, in the end, the shipping cost or impossibility to ship to begin with (which comes up frequently with used items), made it so that I really stopped giving a damn about browsing on Amazon.Com.

          • Code

Yeah I don’t bother browsing much, I was browsing some the other day though well eating breakfest just out of curiosity >w<'

  • PersonaBull

I’m loving Amazon since they started matching all the major retail deal prices. I nabbed Assassin’s Creed:Brotherhood last night (after some fancy maneuvering with customer service) for $40. Later, right before I went to bed, I snagged inFamous and MGS4 for $10 each and 3D Dot Game Heroes for $15.

I also swung by my local Walmart and picked up the last deal I cared about, the God of War 1 and 2 PS3 collection, for $10.

5 games for $85? I’d say this was a pretty great Black Friday.

  • Glad Nier wasn’t one of the deals, since, due to everyone and their mother on here telling me how great the game is, I decided to pick it up today when my roommate bought me my Move. I would have been really, really annoyed if I bought it today at $30, only to discover it at $10 or $20 cheaper.

  • MemeticRichard

Finally got Red Dead Redemption. :D

Oh, and World of Warcraft too. ^_^ Can’t beat a $10 battle chest deal.
