Rumor: Persona 2: Innocent Sin Coming In March [Update]

By Spencer . November 29, 2010 . 2:07am

image Also from the Famitsu rumor roundup is a release date for Persona 2: Innocent Sin. The enhanced PSP port is slated for March 3, 2011 in Japan.

Atlus set the game’s price as 6,279 yen ($74), which is on par with other PSP titles in Japan.

Update: On the Persona 2: Innocent Sin blog, Ikeda from the marketing team says the game’s release date will be released this week. I suppose that adds a grain of truth to this rumor. Visit the blog for a look at Satelite’s (the studio that did the new opening movie)… door.

After seeing the screenshot I’m not surprised at all.

  • I thought the english version was coming in March. Silly me

    • Me too. :( Oh well. I wouldn’t have bought it anyway. Neptunia and Ar Tonelico will have my full attention around that time.

      • If that happens, I’ll still be buying all of them.. And lock myself in my room without making contact with another living being for about a month.

        • xD I don’t blame you. Exams will be destroying me so I’ll probably have to wait a while then.

      • Chiupon

LOL. Ar Tonelico. Over Persona 2? I guess that’s logical if you’ve played it already, but… just lol.

        • I beat it 10 times so I can wait. :) …or go the “alternative” route

  • d19xx

Oh good. I believe God Eater Burst is coming out in March stateside, it will give me sometime to save up for P2….

    • Amazon says Feb. 28th.

      • d19xx

Listed as march in gfaqs. But I’m not going to complain if it comes out sooner. I hope Atlus can localize P2 within 6 months. C’mon Squeenix did it twice now and they normally need a year or two to localize one game…..

  • So… soundtrack release in May or June. Awesome.

  • vall03

so same year US release is possible! do it Atlus! hoping for a US localization around Sep-Nov

  • Exkaiser

Sheesh, Japanese games are expensive. I’m so used to PSP games being $30 over here. Always stings when I bring out the wallet to import something.

    • I think the weakened dollar is the crux of the issue. A few years ago when the dollar to yen exchange rate was 110 yen or games were closer on par with US prices.

  • PrinceHeir

hell yeah can’t wait for this :D

i just have a quick questions about this game.

does it include the original game or just 1 pure remake?(im not sure if the Persona PSP also included the original game)

do you think they will also remake Eternal punishment and release both games in the west?

    • SMT: Persona and Persona 2: Innocent Sin aren’t exactly remakes. They’re expanded ports (or as I like to say port +) so you’re pretty much getting the original game. The PsOne version doesn’t come on disc though.

As a purely personal opinion, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a P2: Eternal Punishment port. It probably won’t be released with Innocent Sin though. Meguro said they tried to do that, but couldn’t fit both games on disc.

  • Add Eternal Punishment or no buy.

  • MarkMario

Now for a new Persona game on PSP or P4P

    • I hope there is a P4P, maybe they can keep the anime~ish cutscenes this time around.

  • FFF, I keep forgetting this is Japanese not English. ARGH, I had my excitement go to waste >_< THIS BETTER GET A RELEASE IN ENGLISH T_T

  • Hopefully this is a rumor that will become reality(lol)
