imageShining Hearts, even though it has not been released to stores, sounds like its off to a good start. Tsuyoshi Sawada, producer of the Shining series, announced that initial orders of Shining Hearts surpassed Shining Wind on Twitter. Sawada thanked fans for the support.

Originally, Shining Hearts was supposed to come out this Thursday. After hearing about Monster Hunter Portable 3rd’s release date, Sega delayed their PSP role playing game.

If this increases our chances of seeing it lozalized, then I guess I’m happy.

Also, it comes out the same week as Shiren 5, I hope they both have good sales.

  • I think this means that it is time to localize this game someone!

I fell victim to imagining that his name was Tsunayoshi Sawada and then immediately thinking of no good Tsuna from KHR, lol. Darn, I need to get my head out of manga, distorting my thinking.

  • Darkrise

Wow, this is VERY fortunate. Hope it actually affects us as well… I really want to play this game.

  • fuzzy_hobo

Sega, this is a sign! To the West!

  • Well, they have been getting this game done with greeat ideas so is expected.
The battles, doesnt look, bad the characters look nice and fresh, i wanna play this thing darn it

  • Sega, this is a sign to bring this game over here!

EDIT: Wow I just noticed I said almost the same as fuzzy_hobo

      Great minds think alike. ;)

      • You are correct on that. :) And Sega should know about this power to connect minds.

“After hearing about Monster Hunter Portable 3rd’s release date, Sega delayed their PSP role playing game.”

Seems such a basic business tactic. Wonder why Bamco never uses it.

  • Zeik56

And yet we still probably won’t get it.

Still pissed we never got Feather.

    • neo_firenze

I’m more pissed we didn’t get Shining Wind. I did import both Wind and Feather despite missing a lot of story from my poor Japanese skills, and I think Wind is the much better game of the two. Gotta admit that Tony Taka art does influence me though, Tears/Wind really are beautiful games – they also play a lot better than they get credit for.

I’m also more than a little concerned for Hearts, considering the last two new Shining games didn’t leave Japan and that the PSP market in the US is pretty weak even though it’s quite healthy in Japan these days. Feels like Saturn and Shining Force III all over again.

please bring this here sega along with VCIII :D

    • Gestahl

They can keep VC3 but localizing Shining Hearts would be great.

  • Pichi

It’ll be criminal if those cute monsters don’t come here! Love the art so far, but trying not to get my hopes up if Sega denies again.

  • T2 art and what seems like good gameplay? Please Sega bring it over stateside at least so we who do not know Japanese can play it untill we drop!!

  • Chiupon

I didn’t know outselling 11 units was an accomplishment.

    • Gestahl

Shining Wind sold 83k on its opening week.
