Move While Shooting In Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3DNews from this week’s issue of Famitsu mentions players can move while shooting in Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D. In past Resident Evil games, players had to stand still to fire their gun.

 

According to the magazine, Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D is 70% complete. Resident Evil: Revelations is only 20% finished, which really is far from being finished.

      It could be possible that they shifted development for the 3DS.

      it seems Resident Evil PSP = vaporware.

    can you walk while shooting here?

    if not please Capcom make the movement speed the same as RE4 cause RE5 felt like you were carrying a traveling camp bag around you.

          ah yes i click in blindly without looking at the title. i was actually looking at the header pictures and only read the 2nd paragraph not to mention browsing some sites at the same time.

          why make it a big deal? yes i made a mistake so what? im sure im not gonna make the same mistake next time. wow people really love to point out some minimal mistakes by other people.

          if i said “ohh capcom is just stupid for not being able to shoot and move at the same time” yes you can make a big deal about it.

          im not mad or anything im just surprise at people being quick to point out these little things.

          but it’s the internet so i understand

    So is the aiming first person like Revelations or third person like RE4 and 5?

    I’m quite the RE fan to the point where I’ve bought multiple editions, but seriously… this is a full product? A minigame extra that’s packed in to the series proper, sold for 30-40 bucks with a straight face?
    Oh, but wait. We can shoot and move! Does anyone else recall Metroid Prime Hunters and how awkward it was to do two things at once?

    This is the definition of console release shovelware. Absolutely disappointing.

      Uh..you do know the 3DS does have an analog stick right? I’m pretty sure you can play it the same way fps’s been done on the N64, dreamcast, and PSP. The stick is used to aim/look while the ABXY is used to walk forward, back, left and right. The l or r is used to shoot while the d pad is used for weapon selection or some other function. I’m pretty sure they’ll let you choose the way you want to play. Like how so many other shooters have done in the past.

        What you just described sounds like the most godawful control scheme I’ve ever heard of… since MGS: Peace Walker.

        Yes, a single analog stick. Which is no different than Hunters or the abysmal FPS/3rd Person titles of the PSP.

        That sounds like Turok or Goldeneye. To be honest, those games maybe were fine in their times, but when I tried to replay them some years ago, the lack of K+M or at least twin analogs definitely felt awkward.

        Especially because now I’m used to aiming with the right thumb, not the left one.
