The Makers Of Dynasty Warriors Have An Action RPG Coming Here In February

By Spencer . December 9, 2010 . 11:58am

Omega Force, the developers Dynasty Warriors, took the reigns of Koei’s Zill O’ll series. While there have been a few Zill O’ll titles in Japan, Trinity: Souls of Zill O’ll will be the first one released internationally.

This PlayStation 3 game is a prequel so players won’t miss on an overarching plot. When we spoke to Akihiro Suzuki, Producer, he told us enemies in Trinity: Souls of Zill O’ll will work together and have unique artificial intelligence. That’s one of the reasons why the game has been in development for so long.

Trinity: Souls of Zill O’ll is out in Japan now and coming to North America of February 8th.

I will only say this, can the AI of this game really be trusted to be good when all I know of them is the dynasty warriors series and their AI enemies are crap that just stand around and let you kill them

    • HarryHodd

Play the demo. The enemies are not like Dynasty Warriors.

Does this game have more voiced dialogue? The JP PSN demo didn’t have much.

  • Alexander Groce

So the main characters of this game consist of Mr. T, Shiva from Final Fantasy, and, a red-haired Chris Redfield from Resident Evil. Awesome.

  • HarryHodd

The two Japanese demos are pretty good. I’ve played through them a number of times. It’s nice to get a JRPG from Koei.

    • HarryHodd

      Day one for me!

  • shy_mel

I wonder if we’re going to get the demos. We did get the one for the last couple of games the NA branch brought over.

    • Spencer

I asked Tecmo Koei about this, we’re waiting on an answer. If we get something back we’ll let you know!

      • Neckbear

Huh. I swear I read somewhere that we would get the demos before the game released.

    • Neckbear

We are, they already confirmed we’d be getting them before the game releases.

  • Gabriel May

Seen some gameplay action of it. Gameplay looks a tad medicore but the story might interest me to trying it out and sticking with it.

  • Buntar0

That beefy guy has Haggar’s/Zangief’s spinning lariat?
+1 sales if he actually groans while doing that.

  • Charles Lupula

If there’s a demo, I’m more than willing to check it out.
