Climb Or Die, Screenshots Of Catherine’s Action Part

Ever since he had a rendezvous with Catherine, Vincent suffers from nightmares where grotesque creatures chase him. You have to save Vincent by climbing a tower. Before you climb for your life you can talk to sheep who can give you tips on how to clear a stage.

 

The tower is made of blocks, some of which Vincent can push. Other blocks explode or have traps like slippery ice or spikes. Build a path to the exit before time runs out and Vincent lives to dream another day. Fall down and Vincent’s nightmares and life end.

 

Levels have prizes to collect like the golden trophy in the screenshot. At the end of each level you also get a score. Catherine utilizes PlayStation Network and Xbox Live so there may be some kind of online leaderboard feature. That’s just a guess on my part, though.

    I’m scared of giant babies after clowns (I think I remember seeing a giant Kat w/ a chain saw too, maybe it’s a boss)… BTW, sry for the plug, I pre-ordered both the PS3 and 360 ver, and might look to sell the extra bonus artbook/soundtrack. If people are interested in those later, pls let me know :) I just want both covers and have no use for duplicate extras, unless they’re different..

Seriously though clowns are pretty freaky and giant babies are just as bad opo; I mean I’m pretty sure I can out run a clown what with there big floppy shoes, and a giant baby likely doesn’t have the coordination to do anything but fall over and bang it’s head off a coffee table, but still they’re creepy. Still rarrr, I think the creepy atmosphere of this game is going to make it great though, I’m eagerly waiting in anticipation for localization announcement >w<!

    hm…..so this is the nightmare aspect of the game. I hope we can do more that just that tho.

      I dont think there is more though, i know we were all expecting something “new” and “wow” on this aspect, but i think this is all there is to the gameplay, remember the developer said to not expect a RPG game (or whatever) when he was surprised that Catherine seemed to be calling a lot of attention. I think he was saying, in a way, to not expect a great full action game, it is more inclined in the story part than in the action part, so is like “dont get your hopes too high!”.

      Of course i still like it, seems like it will be a more stylish heavy rain with some jump action >8D

    Gameplay may not be much, but hopefully the main stages will be short and tense and the story and characters will pull it through, making you want to play more to see what happens.
