By Spencer . December 14, 2010 . 8:08am

The next Inazuma Eleven game is for Wii. Inazuma Eleven Strikers adds features like a four player soccer matches and flashy super moves. Nothing defends a goal like a giant demon spirit coming out of Mamoru Endo called Majin the Hand.

Popular characters from Level-5’s soccer series will get 3D models for the Wii game. How many? Inazuma Eleven Strikers has over 150.

Japan gets Inazuma Eleven Strikers this spring. While this game has not been announced for the West, Level-5 and Nintendo are bringing the Inazuma Eleven series to the Europe early next year.

Still waiting on Dark Cloud 3.

Wow, good things someone says that in every story loosely related to Level-5… >_>

      • Yes, we love Dark Cloud that much. IT WAS THE GAME THAT REPRESENTED LEVEL 5… now they just forgotten it T.T, now that LEVEL-5 is the popular girl of the party… LEVEL-5 forgot the boy that made her feel alive when she still wasnt pretty…

        • puchinri

Maybe she’s just waiting for the right time to come along and say ‘hey, this is our party now.’ But in all seriousness, I do wonder if they will ever go back to the series. Does Sony have any say in their working on a sequel? (Since they’re publisher and the first was under contract, and I don’t know how any of that works.)

          • I hope they do… i mean, in most of the white knight chronicles videos released in psn they always say “From they creators of Dark Cloud series (…)” And those games are pretty popular, as far as i know

Late reply is late, but as far as I know, Sony does own the rights to Dark Cloud just as they do to White Knight Chronicles (which is how the PSP game can exist without L5). So for anyone hoping for another Dark Cloud, you best beg and whine to Sony if you want another. L5 can’t use the name, but they could do a spiritual successor if they wanted, I guess.

Usually the published owns the rights to the name since they are the ones putting it on the market, in this case Dark Cloud, although there are rare occasions where the developer can get some bargaining strength and have the title belong to them, but usually such a developer publishes their own titles.

          • puchinri

Thanks for confirming that~. I kind of thought of Capcom and DMC, Okami and Viewtiful Joe (and poor Kamiya) in relation, so I assumed L5 couldn’t do anything with the franchise, but I didn’t want to say anything for sure.

I would hope that L5 could get the title from Sony, but as long as Sony lets them do another title and gives them freedom with it, that wouldn’t be bad either.
(I do feel bad for L5 though. I think a lot of people hold there being no new Dark Cloud against them, but that’s mostly out of their hands.)

    God the Hand!!!
    I love this serie xP
makes me feel soccer is a RPG

    • I always liked the soundtrack of this anime, also, naruto’s voice really suits Endou xD, this stills look like mario soccer though, but cooler in my opinion :D.
MAJIN SA! HANDO!! >80 as always the japanese/english fusion is weird…but its kinda catchy xD

  • puchinri

It just looks so ridiculously over the top. I want it.

  • Hopefully this will come to the west as it’s about time we got a footy game that’s over the top and not serious as FIFA or PES.

Can’t wait for the DS version. Been wanting this series to be localized for ages and Level-5 have seen to it :D that’s why they are myt fave developers (them and Treasure).

Wow…Level 5 has totally sold out these days, becoming something of the new Capcom. HOW many installments in this series have released in the past two years? And what about Layton? And let’s not even get into the fact that when I went to Denny’s the other day (totally different atmosphere and food from it’s US origin for those who care) they had what looked to me BREATH MINTS with this series adorning the package.

Now I am well aware of the idea that Level 5 needs to make money, and that it should be happy to have such successful products. But at the same time, I think the company has begun to derail somewhat. Originally it had very few games but put a lot of time and effort into them. Now it seems as if they are churning out games every other minute and they are becoming a bit soulless.

Personally I’ve never been a fan of these kinds of “rehash” games. The kind where you basically take the same X, Y, and Z and use a different scenario. Capcom sold this to death with the Battle Network Rockman series, and seemingly Level 5 has begun to do it as well with Layton and this series. (At least the new installment here is for the Wii though).

I don’t know…I would just be happier if Level 5 was making a grand scale game a la Dragon Quest 8 as opposed to these mass market products catered to kids.

  • This game will be an interresting test to see how good Level 5 is at making a game with with no to neglible RPG elements.

Will they be able to avoid making special powers too good so that they don’t get spammed all the time (*cough* Mario Strikers)
Will the be able to match Konami’s playmaker controls?
