Play Prinny 2 In English Right Now… If You’re In Europe

By Spencer . December 15, 2010 . 3:41pm

Our pals in PAL territories actually get Prinny 2: Dawn of Operation Panties, Dood! before us. NIS America released Prinny 2 as a PlayStation Network download today.

Prinny 2: Dawn of Operation Panties, Dood! follows the peg-legged mascot (actually 1,000 of them) as they retrieve Etna’s undergarments. After you beat the main story there’s a second game called Asagi Wars which stars Prinny Asagi.

Of course, Prinny fans in North America can get the game before its January launch too. All you need is a European PlayStation Network account… and PAL region PlayStation Store credit. When NIS America release Prinny 2: Dawn of Operation Panties, Dood! here we’ll be able to buy the game in stores on UMD and as a download on the PlayStation Store.

    ! ! ! But! But! I don’t live in Europe T_T!

    • Testsubject909

At worse, go on PSN and make an european account. No need for any special tricks.

Though purchasing it might be difficult if it doesn’t accept credit card.

PSP can’t have multiple accounts on it though mine’s an NA account — like malek86 below, I’d have to give up my previous downloads to download it. I have no problems waiting, but rarr it’s going to be so good xwx~!

  • cj_iwakura

Messed up. Is this their revenge for Chrono Trigger?

    • Maybe if they delay it for 10 years : P

    • You really can’t wait a month for this?

      • cj_iwakura

    • Extra_Life

No, our revenge was Terranigma, and what a sweet tasting victory it was!

  • malek86

This would be cool… except Sony had to make the PSP not work with multiple accounts content, so I’m stuck with having to wait for the american release (if i buy this one, my other games bought on the US PSN won’t work anymore).

The PS3 works with multiple accounts content, so why not the PSP?

  • Shuryou

So close to an Asagi game, yet so far.

  • Guest

Oh sweet, sooo pirating this shet.

Going to buy it later though… of course

    Don't judge me!

    • Ereek

If you don’t want people to judge you, why post that in the first place?

    • nyoron

No you got it backwards! That’s the part you’re supposed to think to yourself while you post this instead: Oh sweet, sooo importing this shet.

Seriously though, do what you have to do but why even post that?

      • Guest

        Because I fe-lt like it O:

    • Ereek has a point, I’m totally judging you on this.

Although seriously, where the hell did this come from? I loaned my PSP out to someone thinking I wasn’t going to get Prinny 2 for another month or so. Time to see if he’s finished ZHP yet.

      Awww noo T_T’ Come on! You have Jubei avatar! You gotta take the moral high-road and make Jubei proud! rar, show some respect for NIS omo; There getting off a rocky year, and the least you could do is purchase the games they’ve worked hard on. Seriously way to show your love for the industry, and way to come off as a big pile to siliconera, fission mailed omo;

    • Its people like you that ruin the gaming world D: id never hack a system that isnt reigon locked

      • Guest

        Blarghh…. I’m impatient and cheap >:L

        • Can’t help you there :/ hopefully nis added some anti hacking thing for all the pirates and be like this one

        • I hope your psp explodes and a piece falls on your eye so you will see what being a pirate really is.

Seriously NISA doesn’t deserves this >_>

          • skyblaze

I dunno… as long as he keeps his word and buys it when it comes out then its all good to me… I did the same with Birth by Sleep (though only two days in advance). NIS (who needs and deserves all the support they can get) still gets their money when the game’s released, zetsomaru’s impatience is quelled, everyone wins =D

But, like I said, this is only good as long as zetsomaru pays as soon as the game comes out. You WILL do that, won’t you, dood? *glares*

I’ll admit, I hacked one of my PSPs; since I am a lazy idiot that doesn’t like swapping his actual UMDs. Plus most of them are scratched beyond belief and won’t play otherwise; which to me is wasted money, so in my eyes ripping them prolongs their use.

It tends to be a lot more convenient than carrying around 6 UMDs everywhere I go. Especially since I only have the cases that each game came in. I do have a PSP-3000 as well which I use at home when I can easily swap my UMDs, but on trips and out of the house I prefer to use my hacked PSP-2000 for the sake of convenience.

I know hacking a PSP is looked down on by a lot of people; but there are other people like me, that don’t pirate and have a legitimate reason for doing so. I just wish more people would realize this… -.-

        Back on topic.
Personally I hope Prinny 2 has anti piracy, as to prevent pirates like zetsomaru from pirating it; I mean it wouldn’t kill you all to support the actual release of goodness sake! D<

    • I don’t really have a problem with that. I used to pirate everything myself a few years ago. I just get a list of games to pirate and MAYBE purchase a game (Used to). I had Three DS games back then. The moment I got my DS, I actually bought Elite Beat Agents brand new. Funny enough, despite the commercials, high ratings and all that, it sold barely any and was never spoken of again. Like most teenagers, I didn’t have a source of income, but wanted to play the new games. Since last year, I have had a serious pirate’s remorse. I couldn’t download anything without feeling guilty. I had two part time jobs by this point, so there was no problem with being unable to afford things. I just decided that I will cut down on how much I pirate. So I decided to pirate only from larger companies and buy more niche games. Of course, if I truly like a game enough from a larger company, I’d buy it too. Games like Metroid Prime stuff (Not Other M, heh), and Donkey Kong Country Returns. Funny enough, both of them are from Retro Studios.

I do this to give more money to the smaller developers. Pokemon games. They already get over 2 million copies sold anyway, I don’t think that it’s necessary to help them out. They’re doing fine on their own. I take a look at the upcoming games, look into titles and the developer , then decide whether to purchase them or not. So far, with this method, I got Demon’s Souls, Ys Seven, Valkyria Chronicles 2, InFamous, Vanquish, Blazblue Calamity Trigger, Nier, and a whole bunch more on day one. Besides InFamous and DJ Max Portable 3, I haven’t had any games that disappointed me.

I know that piracy is stealing. It’s like you make a software for a company, and after it was approved for sale in the market, you get barely anything at all due to a lack of sales. I ain’t arguing about that. It’s wrong, and easily does a lot of damage.

I download all my games for the PSP though. A reason for doing this is to keep my stuff in better condition. I HATE using UMDs. They’re loud, slow, and scratches incredibly easily. Playing my physical copy of Ys: Ark of Napishtim is a nightmare. I just get around the problem by purchasing a UMD, then download the game. As for PSP games that come out, I almost always buy in the opening week, so they get the sales. I get to play the games while keeping the stuff sealed or whatnot, and the developers still get the money. I don’t really see a problem with what I’m doing.

In the end, as long as you enjoy what you play and purchase the games as soon as possible, I don’t think there’s any problem with it. Not just for games though. Same goes for all other media. I got music cds, blu-ray discs, and boxset of a bunch of anime and cartoons all over the damn place. I don’t regret a single penny I spent onto’em.

  • nyoron

OK, since I haven’t seen definitive word on this I’m going to be “that guy” and ask. Did NISA include the Japanese voices this time?

    • I have the US version in my PSP right now and there’s no language setting in the options menu.

      • nyoron

OK thanks. That’s a shame, I wonder what it is about the Prinny series that NISA can’t/won’t include it? It’s not like this game fills the UMD.

      • LastFootnote

#$*&#*%&@! What the hell, NISA? What the hell?

Maybe that doesn’t seem very constructive, but what else is there to say? It’s well-known that people like having the option of either voice track. Yeah, the track is a ‘bonus’, but that ‘bonus’ is one of the reasons I buy NISA’s products. Not including it is a bit of a kick in the teeth.

Well, it’s not like I’m not going to buy it anyway, but I think I’ll just pick up the PSN version rather than both.

        *grumble grumble*

  • Darn i wish i pre ordered it instead i spent my money on sonic colors it was worth it anyone know the starting price is it like every other psp game (40$)?

  • How do you say Dood in European? xD

(this is just a joke btw… i know how many “fails” are in what i said :P)

  • A bit annoyed I have to wait a month to get it, but given the choice between getting it now or getting it on UMD I’d take the UMD.

  • Xeahnort

I still planning to buy the game but i won´t play it until someone release a proper undub version. I don’t understand why they didnt keep the original V.A, the voice actors sound pretty amateurish.

  • So if you complete this game, do you get artwork of Etna’s undergarments and her wearing them? *decides not to wait for an answer and goes and gets the game*

  • Extra_Life

I’m still going to wait for the US release then import a real copy of the game back to the UK. Tangible games ftw.
