Valkyria Chronicles 3 doesn’t deviate much from the series, but it adds a few system tweaks like special skills. Direct command lets Kurt move without using AP and Riela’s special ability unleashes her inner Valkyria.

I say this every time, but the more I see of the game, the better it looks. And the more I want to import it…need to hold back on that part, though.

So the story path is now a tactical war map and you can directly see war progress. Plus there is quite some unique skills there like deploy shield barricade? This is freaking awesome! Banzai for more personality and more customization!

    As always, game looks great.
C’mon Sega, give us a western release date…

Yeah, I would definitely sleep better tonight if they confirmed localization already.

This is what VC is about! Epic Story lines and epic battles with a lot of thinking! this must get localizeddd

      Hel yeah!
Srzly, VC2 isn’t even HALF as epic as VC1. VC2 feels like a prototype to test multiple classes or something…and quite repetitive..uninteresting battles/bosses…But VC3 looks really promising.

Though i STILL wish it returns to PS3. Maybe with huge naval/air battles *droool*

I like that deployable shield cover. MUCH more practical, useful and makes more sense than armored techs whose shields only cover themselves.

Yeah, VC2 was like a light version of VC1, ahh VC4 will be on ps3, or there will be a lot of fan rage in da world xD.

This game is looking a lot better than the last 2 games so far. Hopefully it manages to meet those expectations this time.

    I saw Leon Hardins.

The demo totally sold me on special skills, particularly Imca. It’s nice to have lancers finally being main-character-level badass.

damn Valkyria turned into one of the newest franchises this generation, and i love it :)

I’m not against handheld gaming (i have both a DS and PSP that i play a lot) but i feel that they are just trying to milk this franchise as much as possible with one handheld game coming out so close after the other.
If VC4 will return to PS3 (with improved gameplay, bigger maps, exploration, etc) then perhaps i’ll give VC2 and VC3 (if it gets localized) a try.
But if they continue releasing a more or less the same handheld version every year this franchise will soon die for me.
The first VC was one of the best games of the decade imo so i really want the series to progress on a system that has as less technical limitations as possible.
