Who Wants To See A Dragon Quest VI: The Realms Of Revelation Trailer?

By Spencer . December 20, 2010 . 2:42pm

Hot off the presses from the Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation announcement we have a trailer for the English release.

Since the trailer doesn’t say much about the story, it begins with an amnesiac group of heroes. You’ll travel between the real world and the dream world in Dragon Quest VI to prevent an foe from controlling both.

Did you see the ship in a bubble? Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation has a bunch of vehicles to use and a class system with options like fighter, wizard, and thief – the kind of classes you’d expect from a Dragon Quest game, plus some more powerful composite classes later in on.

  • The game is quite colorful and polished for a DS RPG. I might have to actually check it out now that Ive seen it in trailer form. The only other Dragon Quest I had interest in on the DS seemed to be like a trilogy maybe and I just didnt like how the story was told in different character perspectives so I never checked it out.

But this looks nice thus far.

Are you… sure? Lots of text… no voice acting… DS graphics… Madness!

…kidding aside. I hope you really do try out these games. I love Dragon Quest and it deserves to get another look. Most of the people that bash it never really played them, or just tried a couple of hours, threw their arms in the air and yell “Too old school! I want to play Halo” (Disclaimer: Nothing againts Halo fans). That also applies to reviewers who hate all that is JRPG lately,

Game looks awesome and I can’t wait.

  • OMG I am so buying this game on release. It will complete my DS Dragon Quest collection.

I wonder if they’ll keep the number for the PAL release like they did with DQ IX or ditch the number like all the other DQ games in PAL regions? Since Nintendo is publishing again I’m assuming (and hoping) they keep the number.

  • RupanIII

    Nice :D

Okay, now, Square Enix….. I know you guys love porting the FF games 500 times each, but can I atleast hope you will bring Dragon Warrior 7 back? That game needs a refreshing on the market. Probably won’t happen though, because that game was too big….or, atleast felt it.

    • I’d settle for it as a PS1 classic. Never did pick it up but always wanted to.

      • RupanIII

Same here, never got around to it when it came out somehow

        • Yukito

I wouldn’t mind it. Point being, the game is my favorite in the series and it is the only one that really hasn’t seen any recognization at all recently.

  • ChaosPaladinFayt

LOL at teleporting worker….what a beast.

  • I just hope Jedward don’t advertise this one…If you have no idea who they are or what I’m talking about, consider yourselves thankful.

  • HerrProblembear

I am so happy, truly. DQ VI (along with DQ IV) is my favorite DQ game of all. Superb music, too! I was starting to lose hope there, but this is just peachy. I’ll be buying this first day. Is it asking too much if the English translation weren’t so… hokey, though? The translations for the other DS DQ games (indeed, the one from DQ VIII as well) makes everyone sound like horrid British stereotypes.

  • I wonder if this will be as awesome as Dragon Quest V :3
