Wow so much blood almost made me barf. I guess the game just isnt for me, but nice write up of the game, I learned something new.

I’m part of the cult but I have no interest in this reboot whatsoever.

Out of sheer curiosity, why not? I know a few Splatterhouse fans who were hyped for it.
If you are a fan of the originals, I would recommend picking it up when it hits a lower price. The story is actually pretty well done in this one.

    This, this looks like crap.

Finally. A mindless game I can just throw in and mess things up. This is everything I was hoping for and some.

I might give this a look when it’s $20, just for the original three Splatterhouse games. This, itself, doesn’t look interesting to me. I almost bought it first day, too, but a voice in the back of my head told me that would be a mistake.

Thanks, voice in the back of my head.

Yeah, $20 is probably the perfect price for Splatterhouse… It’s a shame that Namco didn’t decide to drop the game’s MSRP like they did with Majin.

Good write up! I never played the originals though. Majin is only $16.99 on Amazon now and Splatterhouse is only $25.99 (still not getting Majin though). After reading your review and watching GT’s, I think I’m picking up Splatterhouse now w/ the Beauty and the Beast Blu-ray, fairy tale and violence perfect combo lol :)

Mindless fun with charm and character (a bloody one, of course). Just make sure to install it, load times are unbearable from the DVD.
