Still Mysterious Duodecim Prologus Surfaces In Japan

By Spencer . December 21, 2010 . 5:35pm

We’re not quite sure what Duodecim Prologus is, but Square Enix filed a trademark for it in Europe, the USA, and now Japan. That’s a fairly good sign that Duodecim Prologus is some kind of project the house of Final Fantasy quietly working on.

Since the title has the esoteric Duodecim term in it we’re guessing it’s connected to Dissidia 012[duodecim]: Final Fantasy. But how? Perhaps, Square Enix will reveal it during their January press conference.

  • Well it is now here everywhere. January can not come soon enough. Are they going to stream that January conference or will we in domestic America have to get news at the whim of the lucky few who attended?

10,000 people will be able to view the second conference on Nico Nico Video live. 300 members of the Square Enix Members site (I think just the Japanese) will be invited to go to the conferences. You be certain that if 10,000 are watching it there will be leaks of footage on Youtube and similar sites. I can’t wait :D

I have the feeling that this thing is a novel.just like they did with FFXIII.

  • PrinceHeir

i have a feeling it will be an all CG film(ala Advent Children) which would be nice :D

  • inb4 2nd version of dissidia duodecim with a special movie or some crap

    • ChaosPaladinFayt

      i highly doubt that.

      • kingdom hearts birth by sleep final mix and many others would like a word with you

        • ChaosPaladinFayt

it’s way too early. so still doubt it.

  • I think its gunna be a movie like advent children or dissidia on the ps3

  • shion16

Dissidia international edition (US extras for jap version)

  • Maybe it’s the name of the Demo? like, instead of a Demo of the actual game, we get a different demo that spotlights aspects not in Duodecim.

  • karasuKumo

Hmm, I don’t think it’s anything big. Maybe another mix or the name of a collectors edition. A CGI movie on BluRay would be very welcome though.

  • Square Enix might throw a curve ball and give us a visual novel…Okay I’ll leave ¬_¬
