The 3rd Birthday And Tactics Ogre European Limited Editions Leaked

By Spencer . December 21, 2010 . 6:05pm

imageSquare Enix Europe said they have limited editions in the works for The 3rd Birthday, Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together, and Dissidia 012[duodecim]: Final Fantasy. Bundled items weren’t announced, but tactically leaked the contents of two out of the three limited editions.

The 3rd Birthday limited edition includes a 48-page art book, mini-soundtrack CD, and downloadable costume for Dissida 012[duodecim]. That’s probably the Aya outfit for Lightning.

The Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together package has a 44-page hardcover art book, mini-soundtrack CD, and a coupon to get a downloadable title for half-price.

  • ART BOOKS?! Dude, please let these come to America!!!! I need more artbooks to decorate my desk in the lab…I love artbooks!

  • PrinceHeir

damn it, europe’s been getting alot of square limited edition games, kingdom hearts, ffxiii and now these 3. wow just wow

    • Ladius

Crisis Core FF7, Dissidia, Star Ocean 4, FF13, KH BBS, Lord of Arcana, Tactics Ogre, PE3 and Dissidia 012 all hadare going to have limited editions made exclusively for the european market (aside from the japanese limited, that is). Square Enix Europe really knows how to do its work :)

    • Gelsa

Yup but to be honest they’re not worth the extra cash it costs. “mini-soundtrack CD” means it’ll contain 4-5 songs from the game and if the artwork book is anything like the Dissidia one then no thanks (The Dissidia book contained images of the characters 3D models, no sketches or anything. I was disappointed.)

Though I’ll have to admit, that coupon sounds interesting.

    Dear Europe,

Visiting for the holiday. Prepare a 3rd Birthday LE, Maken X PS2, and Audrey Tautou.

    Love, cj

    • [The Hunter] Doomrider

Maken Shao sucks HARD, you have been warned =P

      • Arcm

Maken Shao may not be the best game but being a SMT fanboy I over looked the faults and I actually liked the original Maken on Dreamcast so that helped.

        • [The Hunter] Doomrider

Just so you see how much faith I have in Atlus, I knew nothing about the game, never even heard of it and still I bought it, because it was made by Atlus and had Kaneko’s artwork on the cover (it was the only time I bought a game because of its cover).

I thought: “Kazuma Kaneko’s art, Atlus… Let the good times roll!”

But the gameplay was just… insufferable. Horrendous. I could not enjoy the game’s qualities because of it. To me, it was THAT bad. I didn’t play the original, so maybe that’s a factor, I don’t know… I have never been so disappointed with a game in my life.

I still love Atlus and SMT though!

Play the DC version. It’s totally different, and the original(re: 1st person). I still want the PS2 version at some point though.

  • Aiddon

I have no love for SE’s butchering of the PE canon, but the Tactics Ogre stuff interests me

“50% Rabatt-Gutschein für einen Downloadtitel Die Entwickler von FINAL FANTASY® XII, FINAL FANTASY TACTICS® und VAGRANT STORY”

    What’s this about FF12?

    • The text says that “the developers of FF12, FFT, and VS have joined together once again, this time to remake Tactics Ogre.”

  • Nothing to get too excited about, but with the PSP special edition games having only a small price increase to their non SP counterparts compared to special editions on consoles, it’s worth going for them.
