Yoichi Wada, CEO Of Square Enix, Makes A Cameo In The 3rd Birthday

By Spencer . December 24, 2010 . 1:10am

imageThe development team on The 3rd Birthday put a silly Easter Egg in the PSP game poking fun at the CEO of Square Enix, Yoichi Wada.

There’s a book in the game titled "Tomorrow of Mankind" by Yoichi W., a business administration book about job turnovers.

Earlier we heard how The 3rd Birthday team decided to make a shower scene on their own. I wonder what other wacky surprises the team hid for players to find.

i think wada needs to turn his job over fast.

  • Only a book? Man, I though we could shoot his in-game character model :

    • MisterNiwa

      That’s what everyone thought.

I thought Wada wanted in too because Master Eraquis was modeled after the Gooch :) I guess it’s like Kojima’s gag in the Praying Mantis fight..

      • thebanditking

I was thinking that Wada likely pressured the team to put him in because of how much Eraquis looks like Sakaguchi. Still its just a magazine mention so I guess he is not as vain as I thought.

        • Aoshi00

Yep, he got jealous and didn’t want to be left out, wanted to be on the hall of fame (more like infamy :P). The team was like “okay Wada-god, we would do our best to squeeze you in..” Take that, only on the low-res cover of a magazine, just like the swimsuit idols in MGS, that’s all the space he’s worthy of hogging..

          • I’d rank the swimsuit idols higher as they actually serve a *cough*purpose*cough*.
A purpose which was intensified with the use of Solid Eye

    • You could always shoot the book

    More hate detected :D

Cmon Square Enix, why taint the only game you guys are making that isn’t tainted up to this point? Poor 3rd Birthday….

  • He should be a special boss who drops the money he got from M$ for FF13 and probably Versus 13(dies inside everytime he thinks about it)

  • Thank god the Easter Egg is not a shower scene of Yoichi Wada ;P

  • Considering all the turnovers of the past decade…

    Edit: I lost my thought.
