Fire Pro Wrestling Slams Its Way Overseas

imageBack at Tokyo Game Show, Microsoft announced a new Fire Pro Wrestling game. They partnered with series developer Spike to make Fire Pro Wrestling with avatars only for Xbox Live Arcade.

The barebones announcement came with a couple of screenshots, but few details like if Microsoft will release the game overseas. BAM Entertainment took a stab at localizing the series first by bringing over some of Spike’s Game Boy Advance games. After the publisher folded, Agetec picked up the series and released Fire Pro Wrestling Returns.

And it appears Fire Pro Wrestling for Xbox 360 will get an international release too. Australia’s Classifications Board rated the game, an indicator that this game isn’t just for Japan. Fire Pro Wrestling is slated for release next year.

  • Yeah good luck getting this to sell very well. Fire Pro Wrestling die-hards will angerily retreat to the old versions and this will probably get lost in the shuffle when released internationally unless this is marketed towards young gamers (and the controls are vastly simple then the previous Fire Pro Wrestling games).

  • Apollokids

This gamer reeks of garbage. Let me take a mediocre RPG and slap Final Fantasy on it. Let me take a mediocre action-adventure and slap Uncharted on it. Japan is gonna learn how western influences drag good brands into the ground- the hard way.

    • poser you are no gamer you are a complainer
