  • Now only the 3DS needs is a Smash Bros. game and a sequel to Jump! Ultimate Stars :)

  • PrinceHeir

i want to see Snake Eater Naked 3D sample, and Resident Evil Mercenaries, Revalations.

this gonna be one hell of a party :)

  • Ahhh what a good year to release the 3DS, when the VAT in the uk increases to 20%. To be honest I can’t see myself playing the 3DS anytime soon :(

  • malek86

I’m sure my friend will bog me to try and get Nintencats.

Otherwise, there’s not much that interests me.

  • I would go just for Kid Icarus: Uprising, my #1 reason for why I got hyped about the Nintendo 3DS.

    • I wanna play Kid Icarus as well, unlike Ocarina of Time, it actually utilizes the 3DS’s power.

Naruto Shippuden game is the title Im most exited for, for dude, Naruto, is simple awesome!!! One Piece and Tales of the Abyss also seem interesting.

Hm, I hope release dates are given.

“unlike Ocarina of Time, it actually utilizes the 3DS’s power.” What does that mean? You know they’re changing OoT to make it function better on the 3DS right? And you know it’s not going to be 2D……

        • You didnt see this video?

Kid Icarus has is a great level of environmental detail present, a superb level of voice cting and musical direction, and great 3D effect. While from this video we see that OoT doesnt embrace the 3DS in those same ways, but instead has limited attention to detail in the environmental, maybe a grass shard that is in the environment, but otherwise really murky looking ground (in fact compared to talented elementary schoolers, they are better with drawing and coloring the ground than the people who made this game). The music sounds really uninspired (the budget didnt allow for an orchestra or something, some sort of latin level vocals like we heard in Brawl?). The water looks absolutely appalling, if this is supposed to surpass gamecube level stuff then the water could at least be gamecube level. It doesnt seem like its a fun gameā€¦the lady isnt smiling at all or looking like she is having fun, in fact, she looks like the game is rather annoying to her, I was surprised she ended up laughing when she ran Link into what looked like a boulder, though fortunately the guy seems excited about it.

As a game for the powerful 3DS, I expect both games to look and appear similar in quality and experience

          • You and graphics whore: Graphics over everything.
Some people: Story and gameplay over everything.
            The rest: Whatever.

          • Aara_Malik_Davoodi

Jeez, I don’t even want to take the time to respond to your common o’ fail. OoT originally came out in the N64. This is a remake. They’re not building it from the ground up on the 3DS. And just like Kaishou said, graphics aren’t everything. And you act like Kid Icarus is utilizing every tiny piece of power of the 3DS. It isn’t. “It doesnt seem like its a fun game” Yeah, you’re right, it’s the highest rated game of all time for a different reason.

          • Dumbasses gonna dumbass.

          • onilink888

Look, I don’t have the time or energy to respond to all that, I’ll just say this:

            – they’re going to be using a more vibrant color palette
            – they seem to be remodeling the characters
            – they seem to be using different different/high res./better textures for certain things
            – the game now runs at sixty sexy frames a second (YUS! 1337 ALLITERATION!111)
            – they’ve replaced those brown, rocky whatevers that were in OoT’s field with nice looking hills

(You can see comparison pictures here:

And I believe that’s about all we know about OoT 3D’s visual/performance upgrades for the time being. They’re subtle, little differences, but they’re good enough.

Just to be clear, I’m not a graphics whore or anything, but it’s quite clear that KI:U and OoT 3D aren’t really pushing the system.

          • The framerate won’t be shitty. Everything else is icing.

      • onilink888

“I wanna play Kid Icarus as well, unlike Ocarina of Time, it actually utilizes the 3DS’s power.”

        That’s… utterly false…

Kid Icarus isn’t using the 3DS remotely to its greatest potential (I’m assuming that’s what you mean by “actually utilizes the 3DS’s power”), but neither is OoT.

  • Pichi

Interested, but not yet ready to jump just yet. Looking forward to hearing more info.

  • O.o
I wish I was in Japan right about now -.-

  • Aara_Malik_Davoodi

I hope this means we’ll see oodles of launch titles

  • I’m excited for that KH3d Trailer, WHOO!
