Dynasty Warriors 7 Assaulting Retailers With A Panda Stampede In March

Zhou Yu battle

Tecmo Koei has a double header of Warriors games in March. While Warriors: Legends of Troy explores a new setting, Dynasty Warriors 7 sticks to ancient China. It’s Romance of the Three Kingdoms again with a new generals and a new faction, Jin.

Omega Force tweaked the gameplay instead of the location. Dynasty Warriors 7 gives players two weapons. You can switch them on the fly, even in mid-combo, by using the variable attack system. There’s double the musou in this game too with two kinds of ground musou attacks plus the ability to stock two musou meters. That means you can end one musou attack and go right into another one.

Dynasty Warriors 7 also has pandas. Fighting pandas. Seriously. Support animals, which can assist you in battle are another addition in the game. So, if you’re looking for some panda mauling action look for Dynasty Warriors 7 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on March 22.

      Dynasty Warriors Zombie Outbreak?

If they focused only on making it with the PS3, maybe.

It’s not to diss out the 360 though, it’s just the actual usage of the core to enable different cores to serve as active A.I.

I mean, most games only utilizes 1 or 2 cores of the multiple cores the PS3 provides, the only game I’ve heard that makes good use of all these available cores is Uncharted 2 and the effect shows.

For a game like this that requires the battlefield to be constantly active, another core could handle all off-screen A.I. whilst a third one could handle on-screen A.I. Even dedicate another core to handle Officer A.I.

      Yeah, not gonna happen, right?

I like the idea of support pandas. Could this be better than senguko basara 3?

    • I think even DW:G3 can be better, since it applies more strategy. You know, something SB never used very well.

But…Kingdom Under Fire II craps all over them with the strategy

I want to see more gameplay videos! Its the most mysterious thing for me so far to see how all the new additions work together. Hope all the characters have more uniqueness.

  • I’m trying not to set myself up for disappointment but I hope this game is truly different and great like they say it is.

“It’s Romance of the Three Kingdoms again”

How many times must this song be played…

  • Can’t wait for this one!!!

Is each piece on the screenshots a different map? If so, wow that’s a lot of maps. Switching 2 weapons on the fly.. sounds like they mixed in some of Strikeforce. Bow and close combat weapon mix is always nice!

  • holyPaladin

    Character list?

  • The 7th entry? The games demo (if it gets one) better feel significantly different than Sengoku Basara Samarai Heroes 3, or else I will not be buying. Dude, like that game was simply phenomenal.

  • PrinceHeir

    i want Samurai Warriors 4 :D

i prefer japanese history than chinese but it’s all good ^^

  • Testsubject909

This one better have some proper evolution of gameplay.

The sixth one was an interesting attempt, but ultimately felt pretty boring in comparison to earlier installments… (at least for me.)
