imageKonami made a few eerie Silent Hill creatures for collectors. That’s Valtiel from Silent Hill 3 crawling out of a hole on the right. The highly detailed statue is roughly 300 mm tall (12 in.) and costs 23,100 yen ($282).

  • I love Silent Hill. But I don’t want any of those figures in my house.

You know what would be worse?

One of those 3D motion holographic posters utilizing megapixels that contains millions of micropixels to display a live 3D image, utilizing the grotesque nightmarish imagery of Silent Hill. (though such an item would cost in the thousands).

And I’m not talking about “hypothetical” items here. I’m talking about actual possibilities. Here, feel free to look at some of them 3D posters.

    Some previews

And a video that attempts to provide a preview of what the Poster in question would look like, paired with the nightmarish visions of Silent Hill:

All I can say is that this character was never intended to be seen in such vivid light, let alone such close detail: instead, it was supposed to be a blurry memory in the minds of those who have played the game.

    • Chow

Yeah, my memories of Pyramid head have him decked out in black-like material. Possibly even leather (though this version has a sort of “leather” >:) )

  • Chow

That’s a little too much, despite how much I want them. :(

Pyramid Head’s become a weird ‘mascot’ for Silent Hill. But any real fan of the games knows the character belongs only in the world of Silent Hill 2. I won’t explain why, for those who haven’t played that masterpiece.

    • Testsubject909

      Actually, you should.

Not a lot of people are going to be able to play Silent Hill 2. And the concept of what Pyramid Head is often left up for debate, many people also won’t really think about it.

Plus, telling people about Pyramid Head’s second early-in-game appearance’s actions which in turn provides an insight on the mentality of the main character as well as a bit of Pyramid Head’s role in the whole grand scheme of thing (in a way the reflection of his frustrated libido, there, I spoiled that little tidbit of not-blatantly-in-game-info) further helps to affirm that the game is truly a psychological marvel in gaming and would then further incite people to get it.

As well as give them the appropriate insight that utilizing the same representation in other games would theoretically mean that the lead suffers the same troubles, which in turn causes a very odd alienation because more often then not… it doesn’t fit, becomes jarring, and then allows people outside of Silent Hill fans to understand why Pyramid Head doesn’t belong…

Of course, I only revealed a little tidbit, and even then I don’t fully know it myself. So, look elsewhere for more info.

  • Every figure comes with a bottle of nightmare fuel!

  • I agree with hamster Chow down there…
I’m interested but they’re too expensive

  • although if I could, I’d go for PH cause I don’t really remember Valtiel.
I definitely remember the other tough*coughbrookhavencough*

  • PrinceHeir

that’s alot of cash but the detail is incredible O_O
