If Tetris Had An Animated Series It Might Be Like This

Remember back in the late 80s and early 90s where Saturday mornings were spent eating a bowl of Count Chocula cereal and watching video game cartoons on TV?


Animators made cartoons for Super Mario Bros. 3, Battletoads, Earthworm Jim, even Double Dragon, but not Tetris. With the help from an animator at Nickelodeon, The Devastator Quarterly took care of that. Presenting Tetris: The Animated Series.

  • Pentominoes. In a Tetris adaptation. Why.

  • The really sad thing is, there were multiple Captain N episodes where they went into Tetris land. And it was worse than this.

    How many of you watched that show thinking, man, I wish I could get sucked into the TV!

  • Meh…It was alright. But it could have been better. Problem I have is that it felt like a late 90’s cartoons not late 80s and early 90s

  • All I can say is… I’m really glad this never became an animated series. *cringes at the awful rap*
