Konami, more specifically Kojima Productions, is searching for new staff for the next generation of the Metal Gear Solid series. A hiring site opened up with jobs for: planners, level designers, programmers, and computer graphic designers.
Planner positions range from game balance, to event design, to creating weapons and player actions. Programming jobs include a network position, someone who can develop the core system for game side and server side functions. There is also a game character programming job where an employee’s role is to create interesting characters, enemies, and boss characters for a 3D action game.
Jobs in the computer graphics category include creating event scenes, 3D models, concept art, special effects, and interface design.
Kojima Productions is currently working on Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D for the Nintendo 3DS and Metal Gear Solid: Rising for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
