Everyone Can Try Girl Shooting Game Galgun This Week

By Spencer . January 17, 2011 . 1:12am

imageAlchemist developers of Galgun, a game where you, an angel in training, ward off lovestruck girls with pheromones so a boy can find his true love is coming to Xbox 360 on January 27.

If you’re not sold on the the rail-shooter meets love simulation premise, you can try it yourself. Alchemist has a demo scheduled for Xbox Live this Friday. While games can be region locked, demos tend to be region free. So, get your Japanese account ready if you want to sample Galgun.

Oh yeah, now this is what I’m talking about.

A light-gun would be much appreciated though.

hopefully after you finish the game, it will unlock maid mode and swim suit, where all girls where these outfits while you shoot them.

      i’ll definitely buy it :)

I’d settle for Kinect support that lets you rub them with pheromones instead of shooting them.

I hope they didn’t mess w/ the ratings too much.. the recent trailers sold me, I’ll get this to support the new seiyuu :)

  • Japanese account: done and done!
If anyone is having trouble these instructions were very helpful:

Alright, I’m ready. Up and at them!

      Thanks for sharing~

People took that long to set up a Jpn Live account!? *.*… All go watch Hikari-chan :)! Oh, and d/l those GalGun trailers w/ the cute seiyuu :) And watch those Matsui Rena/Jurina Kinect spots! They’re adorable.

Nice! So… I heard there was an international release in an article about 2 weeks ago? Does this mean it’s getting localized? Cuz if it is then I’m going to be jumping for joy.

    If only there’s a ps3 version….

1st Catherine & now Gal Gun. Either I need to make a JPN account or see if my friend can let me borrow his.

So……whats stopping these developers from releasing these games also on PS3 (with Move support) since…you know….the PS3 has a bigger userbase in Japan than the 360 anyway? They don’t like money?

    • endaround

Sony Japan is very strict on what they allow on the console. It likely wouldn’t be approved.

    • malek86

I’d guess the same reason why shmups and visual novel developers make all their games for 360: the otaku userbase has been established.

      And maybe ease of development.

    • J M

Vast majority of niche title developers are/used to be PC developers. 360 development is very similar to developing for PC. On the other hand, developing on PS3 is like using sign-language to teach a blind person how to draw a simple triangle. In other words, Sony’s dev tools are terrible. It’s been true of PS1, PS2, and now PS3. PS2 got away with it because there were no alternatives.

By the way, it seems Cave has had something bad to say about MS lately, so maybe their next games have a chance of being done on another platform?

  • Also worth noting, if you have fewer scruples, is that you can also download the demo and burn it to a CD if you aren’t able to make an account. Useful if the game is locked for Gold Subscribers before free accounts are able to play it.

But again, somewhat of a grey area.

  • I hope they made the PC version too … with R-18 rating and adult goodies …

So I wonder why Siliconera didn’t have any news about how it got censored?
