Discover Earth Seeker In April

By Spencer . January 20, 2011 . 12:22am

Kadokawa Games finally set a release date for Earth Seeker, a role playing game where you explore an alien planet terraformed to look like Earth. The Wii game won’t make it into stores "this winter" as planned, but it isn’t too far off. Famitsu announced Earth Seeker will be in stores on April 7.

Features in the video like the time stop battle system and collection of historic artifacts (there are over 200) we’ve seen before. The connected DSiWare mini-game is new. Play it and you can transfer items into Earth Seeker.

Earth Seeker has not been announced for North America, but it seems like Kadokawa Games has their eyes on the West. Well, at least with Rodea the Sky Soldier and whatever Lollipop Chainsaw is.

    • epy

Xenoblade is starting to make me worry. Hope Nintendo gets to it soon.

        It’s being redone into Marioblade

  • This game looks pretty well done overall, hope it gets here

  • For the time being this is the closest thing to a new Fragile in terms of design and setting.

A shame we didn’t get to see the phalus monster “Mamuma” in motion.

Kadokawa Games is shaping up to be a very nice publisher, supporting projects that are genuinely Japanese. I wish them the best of luck.

Also, has this temp. boxart been posted yet? Contains a link to the offical homepage (and Mamuma screenshots) as well.

    • Woah, i love the boxart O.O!

    • RX79V

      This looks amazing. :D

I got JP version of Sin and Punishment 2 for its boxart so I will probably get this for the same reason.

    • puchinri

      The boxart looks so schway~.

  • Is lolipop Chainsaw have a thin, blonde anime-cutey weilding a chainsaw while sucking on a lolipope? If so DAY ONE!

*ahem* The visuals, music and certain gameplay aspects of the game have a Skies of Arcadia feel to it :D

  • puchinri

I’m really looking forward to Earth Seeker, and I certainly hope it does get localized.
I’m also interested in if you get access to both main characters or it’s a set decision in the beginning.

So does the minigame work with download play like the one in Tales of Graces or is it DSiWare only? Either way its a neat addition.
