First Screenshots Of Nippon Ichi’s Debut Nintendo 3DS Title

By Spencer . February 4, 2011 . 2:48am

imageAbout a month ago we mentioned Nippon Ichi was preparing their first Nintendo 3DS game, Bikkuriman Kanjyuku Haoh. If you’re puzzled by Disgaea Demon King Laharl’s cameo we have an explanation. Nippon Ichi partnered with Lotte, the company that makes the Bikkuriman wafers, and lent their characters to the snack maker.

Bikkuriman stickers already have a tabletop card style game, but it isn’t clear how or if that’s going to be altered for the Nintendo 3DS title. From the screenshots, it appears the stickers are in the game and perhaps come to life during attacks.

Bikkuriman Kanjyuku Haoh is slated for a summer release in Japan.

  • Still looks and sounds too confusing to make anything out of it. This is going to be one of those games that I need to see in action so here’s hoping for a trailer soon.

The fact it has Laharl though (even if only as a cameo) is awesome :D

Screw this for the moment being,Kingdom Hearts 3DS we need!

    • That’s not exactly the best attitude to take regarding a 3DS NIS game. That’s kind of why the DS mostly got PSOne ports (and one PS2 port) from them.

      • joesz

From the screenshots,This game is not apromising game from NIS .

        • Just what are you all expecting from a “tabletop sticker battling game?” lol.

      • Yeah, but regardless of who made it, if it’s uninteresting, it’s uninteresting.

    • Xeahnort

Every game developed by NIS is welcomed.

      • joesz

If master Xeahnort said so,then I can’t help it.

  • Laharl always looks so awesome! lol. Awesome!

  • jarrodand

Meh. Wake me when we get ClaDun 3D.

  • Sorta reminds me of Yugioh: Forbidden Memories for the PS1. Anyone else get that feeling?

    • PrinceHeir

oh god you reminded me that konami should make a sequel to Duelist of the Roses using cards up to 5D’s

i love the chest style play in that game :)

  • M’iau M’iaut

Standalone products like card battlers and the like can scratch that limited time available but still wanting flavor of something deeper gaming session. It’s not as if someone would be unique here for at some point in their life wasting time and money on some CCG. They’ve certainly shown a market here as we’ve seen such titles for everything from Monster Rancher to DBZ, and Magic on XBLA just went over 500,000 in sales.

Hell, without such a thing, that deep thread about how many more attack points an Archangel Flonne card should have over Demonlord Laharl’s could never happen!

I do like the notion of Disgaea crossovers, particularly with non-strategy RPG games, but this is one of those cases where I don’t know if the crossover is really that beneficial, maybe in Japan, but I just can’t see this making it overseas T_T’
