Take A Look At The Valkryia Chronicles 3 Nendoroids And The Special DLC Mission

By Spencer . February 4, 2011 . 11:33am

Sega and Good Smile Company are teaming up to make Valkyria Chronicles 3 nendoroids. A Riela nendoroid (left) will be available in June. Imca (right) will be deployed to stores in July.

The Riela figure has an interesting bonus. Pick it up and you’ll get a code to download a special mission loosely translated as "The Two are a Match For A Thousand." Riela and Imca are thrown into a desperate situation. The two lone heroines have to keep Calamity Raven forces at bay until reinforcements arrive.

Complete the mission and you’ll get a "Vár like thing" weapon for Imca to use.

Good Smile Company is already in Valkyria Chronicles 3. Plug the password HJE3QX3M7BFXMHT5 in the game’s extra section and you’ll unlock a tank sticker.

western release please with dual audio as a install option ^^

oh well it seems we will never see collaborations like this on the west not that i blame them though.

i love those nendroids sooo cute :)

im glad the franchise is getting bigger as time goes, maybe we can have another one on PS3 pretty please Sega? along with a console release of Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown ^_____^

    • No dual audio means I’ll be downloading the undub.

EDIT: Or playing the Japanese version – even with a Japanese major it’s easier to play in English text though.

      • Hraesvelgr

I really hope you’ll still support it, even if you decide to go that route.

    • Hraesvelgr

Really wouldn’t count on dual audio, as it’s a PSP game. Personally, I’d just like English voice acting on par with the first game’s.

      • PrinceHeir

well if they can make a install option on PSP, i say why not? :D

        • hystzen

dont expect Dual Audio just be happy it finally gets western release

          • PrinceHeir

im pretty sure there will be a US release.

i wish sony would handle this(just like the first game) that way they can add the dual audio themselves ^^

          • hystzen

it will get it question is when..along as it dont do KH2 or FFXII and take nearly 2 year. judging off VC2 should be end of year which be happy with ,although to many games out at that time year

          • PrinceHeir

this year is just amazing :)

you should also get MVC3 this month :D

    • Guest

Huh the only thing I read that caught my eye was Virtua Fighter 5 FS. Yes please bring that here Sega

  • SolidusSnake

The Var-like thing looks like a big crowbar, maybe Gordon Freeman will be a unlockable character?!

  • I will take that Var like thing and shank some Imps in the eyes with it! *grin* ;)

    • Kai2591

oh the irony. I mean judging from your pic you must be an imp yourself! lol

      • Maybe I am. Managing the…discipline…of fellow Imperials IS a general’s top priority after all. As for the Gallians, they must learn the extent of the wrath of Lydia Agute.

        *takes Gallian prisoner*

…Would you like to watch? ;)

        • Kai2591

Take me instead! *M MODE ON!*

  • Code

    rar, nendoroids, I want them omo;

  • I so would love to have one of those Imca Nendoroids, can not miss it! >-<

As one of the people who love cameos, I hope there will be a ton of them in this.(have to love games which still use codes)

  • d19xx

Where am I? No one has posted “There should be another PS3 Valkryia Chronicles” or “The series has gone bad because it’s on a device that I don’t own”, etc.

You know, where’s the typical bawww post on every VC news?

    • What’s the point in complaining about it? I look at this series like an ex-wife now that I used to love a lot, who betrayed me, and now it’s better to just ignore her existence.

      • d19xx

I was being sarcastic dude. I also think it’s pointless to whine about the series staying on the psp. It’s just that every news story regarding VC there’s always a handful of idiots who couldn’t stop whining about it.

Anyway to the whiners “IT SELLS BETTER ON THE PSP! SO DEAL WITH IT!

        • WonderSteve

          Which is too bad.

Japanese developers need to learn to stop hiding behind older platforms.

Hiding doesn’t help to prepare for future development when new technology arrives.

        • Gestahl

It doesn’t sell better on the PSP though.

          • d19xx

You’re comparing the lifetime sales of a game released 3 years ago to the recent ones?

Add to the fact that developers/publishers hardly make money from games purchased several months after its release date(they make the most money shipping new copies) and the fact that psp games have digital versions that are not tracked.

            Try again.

          • Gestahl

VC2 sold on par with VC1 in Japan. Sold much poorer in the West. The same fate awaits VC3. In order to increase profit the developers try to minimize expenses, making VC a cheaper and cheaper franchise.

VC2 looks like crap compared to VC1, VC3 reuses much from VC2. It’s only logical. VC will never come to NGP – their goal is to make a CHEAPER game, not a more expensive one.

  • malek86

Much as I like good graphics, I wish developers just toned down the polygon count and textures a bit, and used the extra memory for 32-bit rendering. I hate that dithering.

  • Darkrise

    Nendoroid Imca. Do want.

  • Ultimate_Tifa_Fan

    ahahahaa Imca-chan!~<3

  • SlashZaku

Anyone else kind of bothered by stickers at times? I mean, I love the boosts they give you but I just hate how they’re an eye-sore on the actual tank. Take the Dr Eggman sticker in VC2 for instance: big red rectangle on your tank that just looks so out of place.

  • Bakuryukun

You know if there’s a Valkyria 4 and it’s on the NGP, then theoretically it should be able to have graphics and style much closer to the first one.

I personally don’t mind 2 and 3 being on the PSP, if it allows the relatively new IP to survive, then I’m all for it.

    • SlashZaku

This is what I’ve been figuring sine the NGP was revealed. That maybe, they’d move the VC1 CANVAs engine over and improve it from there. SEGA has already moved their Yakuza engine to the NGP so I don’t see why they can’t with the VC1 version of the CANVAs engine.

I also wonder how they’d use the touchscreen and trackpad for the game. I’m probably an odd one out but I’d love a VC RTS and I think the touchscreen and trackpad would work well for that.

    • There was an article I saw the other day on another site that made me very hopeful, where it said that Sony is asking companies to make cross-platform games, where if they make a NGP version of a game, it should also have a PS3 version, and the two should have some sort of bonus for having both. This would not only make me very happy as a PS3 owner, but it would ensure that I picked up a NGP. It seems Kojima might not have just been speaking hypothetically.

      • Bakuryukun

That sounds awesome to me, I’ve been a fan of portable games being able to be seen on a big screen ever since the days of the Super Gameboy! =D

  • animaster
  • Kai2591

A nendoroid with a bigass missile launcher? hell yeah!
    Pre-order guaranteed~

  • Kris

I’m not a real Nendoroid guy, but the Imca Nendo will be mine.
