Stretch Armstrong… The Video Game?

By Spencer . March 15, 2011 . 1:08am

stretch-armstrongStretch Armstrong, his canine sidekick Fetch Armstrong, a gooey green monster, and two stretch octopi were all the rage in the late 70s. Corn syrup action figures were a genius idea three decades ago.

These days Stretch Armstrong is a distant memory, but Mattel might give the bendable hero… a video game. Mattel filed a trademark for Stretch Armstrong specifically for use with computer software and videogames.

Our guess is this will be a tie-in for the upcoming Stretch Armstrong movie. We’re curious to see who’s going to develop the game and if it will be anything like Bionic Commando with elastic arms replacing Nathan’s bionic arm.

Imagine an action platformer rpg hybrid mess that plays like Mr. Fantastic/Super Skrull/Plastic Man on five different kinds of amphetamines.
Yes, it would be awesome, and yes it would be fast as hell and awesome to behold.
