imageV-Jump has the jump on news about Slime Mori Mori Dragon Quest 3: The Great Pirate Ship and Tails Troupe, which is slated for a winter release on Nintendo 3DS. The sequel to Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime heads to the ocean with slime powered ships instead of tanks.

Players can customize their ship, which is used during ship on ship battles. You actually get to sail your ship around the world. While the theme of Slime Mori Mori Dragon Quest 3 is pirates, the blue slime’s ship will dock on land eventually. This portion of Slime Mori Mori Dragon Quest 3 is similar to Rocket Slime where you stretch through an area tossing captured slimes on to conveyor belts.

Slime Mori Mori Dragon Quest 3 also supports StreetPass, online communication over Nintendo Wi-Fi, and 3D graphics.

  • Then next we will see Slimes on flying ships (Skies of Slimecadia?) then on planes fulled by the blood of humans in the Dragon Quest world (there’s only so much abuse as low-level xp fodder they can take) and then on spaceships to get away from the powerful heroes and settle down in peace…only to find that the heroes – due to plot conveince – end up on their planet and start killing them anyway.

Heroes in Space? This isn’t Final Fantasy, MegaTen, or Tales. This is Dragon Quest baby. If anything when the slimes arrive to their new home they’ll find out that it’s an RPG-Maker planet and some crazy alien prince brought elementary school kids there after giving them Sentai powers and forcing them to follow along his planned-out quest in order to get home just to amuse himself. lol

  • This looks so awesome! I can’t wait for this game, sea battles sound great! :D

  • System seller for me. Rocket Slime was easily my favorite DS game, was just really charming and fun to play, had the most compelling use of the second screen.

So looking forward to it. :) Time to slime the seven seas!!!!! :D

  • Simply put, I want this game.
