Trouble Witches Neo Brewing On Xbox Live Arcade In Just Two Weeks

By Spencer . April 13, 2011 . 9:09am

After a period of silence, SNK surprised us with a release date for Trouble Witches Neo. The side-scrolling shooter will be released worldwide as an Xbox Live Arcade game on April 27.

Trouble Witches Neo is actually an arcade to console port. Check out these trailers to see how the game’s magic barrier and magic card systems work. SNK Playmore added a few features to it like online cooperative play, leaderboards, full voice acting for story mode, and a brand new character Sakurako Kujo. A made for Xbox 360 arrange mode gives players a chance to fly through a rebalanced version of Trouble Witches Neo with improved graphics.

When Trouble Witches Neo comes out the game will cost 800 Microsoft Points ($10).

Great news. The shooter flood of 2011 continues, and I can’t wait to play this one.

Time to get back to work on the tons of good shooters already released this year so I’ll have time to appreciate them all. I still haven’t even PLAYED my copy of Bullet Soul that I’ve had since Saturday because I’ve been busy with Strania, Eschatos, and fired up PS3 Mamoru-kun last night.

FINALLY. I’ve been waiting so long for a release date. I noticed a theme was up for sale on XBLA, so I checked the XBLA section on SNK’s site & awesomely, a release date. Totally going to buy this.

Nice to see SNK publishing a game on XBLA that doesn’t require us to worry about shoddy netcode.

In all seriousness looking forward to this, XBLA 2d shooters alone are worth owning the system.

Although I’m not really a big fan of “large sprite” shmups, this seems like it might be pretty slick >w<' Either way the price is right, so I might give it a shot any ways.

Good to know I’ll probably be able to afford this one!
