All Of The New Features In No More Heroes: Red Zone Edition Captured On Video

By Spencer . April 25, 2011 . 11:31am

While this isn’t No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle HD, No More Heroes: Red Zone Edition includes five bosses from the sequel for Travis to fight. Skelter Helter, Nathan Copeland, Kimi Howell, Matt Helms, and Alice Twilight are in the PlayStation 3 port along with plenty of gore.

All of the dismemberments are kind of a new feature for Japan. No More Heroes was censored on Wii. The Xbox 360 version added it in bumping No More Heroes: Heroes’ Paradise up to an adults only CERO Z rating. The PlayStation 3 version, however, kept the edits and was rated CERO D. No More Heroes: Red Zone Edition restores the game’s carnage.

Konami confirmed the No More Heroes 2 cameo fights and the gore level. We asked them about the extra missions and online rankings, but have not heard back by press time. No More Heroes: Heroes’ Paradise will be released in North America later this year.

Even today, I still don’t know if Suda’s preferred version was the censored one or the uncensored one. The sequel was uncensored everywhere, but maybe that’s just because the game sold more in the USA than anywhere else.

It’s beautiful owo~! Also everything I wanted to see from the boss vs. rankings, leaderboards >w<~! It looks like it's going to be fun! Hopefully Konami will confirm soon that we'll be getting this version, but seems like it'd be the case, hard to believe they'd be working on two version at the exact same time.

Any doubt I had about triple dipping on this game is now GONE! I just preordered. : )

It’s good to see sandbox style overworld came back with more contents. I still do not get why this one will release in Japan first rather than the U.S. It is using English voice, and no more hero series sell much better in the U.S.

Japanese gamers are more prone to buying the same game with new additions than U.S. buyers so they probably figured they could rake in a few extra bucks then use the sales to help push the U.S. game

Going to guess the American version which was dated for May got pushed back further to include this stuff.

Can’t wait for it, but Helter Skelter should’ve been in the game as the first fight.
