Rhythm Heaven Is The Wii’s Summer Song, Nintendo Still Has Unannounced Games

By Spencer . April 26, 2011 . 9:02am

rhThe Wii version of Rhythm Heaven is almost done. Released first on Game Boy Advance, the Rhythm Heaven games have players hit buttons to the beat while zany WarioWare style situations play out on the screen. Nintendo announced the news and slated Rhythm Heaven for this summer in Japan.

Nintendo also announced Wii Remote Plus Variety, better known as Wii Play: Motion in the West, with a July release window for Japan. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, a new Kirby game, Pandora’s Tower: Until I Return to Your Side, and Japanese localized versions of Goldeneye 007 and Just Dance 2 are on the way as well.

While the Wii’s successor is the talk of the town, Nintendo said in their financial briefing there are still several unannounced titles for Wii that Nintendo will release in the future too. The next Nintendo console will be released sometime next year, but after April 2012.

Xenoblade… c’mon NoA, let’s DO THIS! Forget about everything else, this is the Wii’s swan song in the west!

Better push the system hard before the successor hits.

I think they did pretty good with the games they published and helped to develop so far (quality wise), but they need to maintain a constant flow of games, not just support 2-3 titles, wait for a year, then start all over again.

Good point. It was kind of nice in a way, since it didn’t break my wallet and I take a long time to finish games (when I finally do finish them), but I think their pacing in release could be a bit better.

Xenoblade, The Last Story, Earth Seeker, Rhythm Heaven Wii, Fatal Frame Wii, Pandora’s Tower, Kirby Wii, Skyward Sword. This year can be a great year for Wii but it’s all up to NoA. I’m fine with NoE though since I can play imports. =D

Fatal Frame? It came out a while ago for the Wii. Unless you mean it’s coming out for the US. But I never heard anything about that o.o

Isnt there another Fatal Frame in development?

        • MarkMario

          Yeah there is (Forgot)
But it still might only be released in Japan :(

Cannot wait for Rhythm Heaven Wii. The GBA and DS games were incredible.

The Kirby game looked good and I’m looking forward to more. But I still wish they made a Kirby game for console similar to that GC one. And didn’t they say they were working on one for the DS…?

Anyway, glad the Wii is still getting so many titles. I’m excited for plenty of them, and a new Rhythm Heaven is way schway.

The kirby game IS the GC one.

      • puchinri

It only seemed to have the same graphical style to me (which is basically 64′s) and I thought they weren’t using the buddy system (so to speak) that the GC one had? If it is the GC one with other additions though, even better then.

( I hope they keep some of the stuff from the levels and designs though too. That’d be nice.)
