Gloria Union Expands On Yggdra Union With Pirate Class And Pirate Ships

By Spencer . May 2, 2011 . 2:34pm

51P6KHR8QOL Gloria Union (full title Gloria Union: Twin Fates in Blue Ocean) is the next game in the Yggdra Union series. While the gameplay is similar, Sting added new tactics cards to Gloria Union.

According to a retail leak by Game Star, Gloria Union has fifteen new cards and these are the strongest in the Yggdra series. This game also introduces six jobs that match the sea-tting. Sailors and pirates are two of the new classes introduced in Gloria Union. Atlus also added a pirate ship for players to control during battle. Use it either as a way to increase mobility on the battlefield or to attack enemies with its turrets.

Sting added clear bonuses to Gloria Union and extra content for players that give the PSP game a second run. To save players time, Sting implemented a feature that allows players skip through conversations.

Glora Union is scheduled to come out on June 23 in Japan.

Yeah, but do we get to do some insult swordfighting? That or at least some drinking contests.

    • godmars

Drinking contest where you wake up with a lama and a traffic-cone while wearing woman’s underwear.

Can’t say you’ve gone out drinking till you’ve woken up next to a traffic-cone in woman’s underwear.

Or men’s boxer shorts if you’re a girl. Some unknown guy singing in your shower.

  • Dammit Atlus, localize Blaze Union and this in a bundle or something. I need both games!

    • Ladius

So true… Atlus USA seems to have really shrinked its localization schedule, nowadays even Atlus-published games aren’t guaranteed a release over here, and the jrpgs by other developerspublishers that once flourished in their lineup have been completely eliminated in favor of Naruto, Hello Kitty, Index MMORPGs and western titles… I have nothing against those games, but I would like Atlus to pursue both its old and new offer (their western games don’t need a Japanese-to-English localization staff, after all).

Well, lets’ hope the gorgeous Catherine limited edition is a sign of good things to come.

      • I just preordered it, so, Atlus better give me some more Sting goodness.

      • godmars

Hate to say but the only reason they’re reducing the schedule is that they aren’t seeing enough sales.

  • Interesting. A lovely addition to round out the Union series.
