Did You Spot Any Hidden Beetles In Bayonetta?

Platinum Games posted another developer’s commentary video for Bayonetta where Hideki Kamiya, producer, plays through the prologue. Kamiya says animator Eijiro Nishimura hid a beetle in the graveyard scene and there are hidden beetles in Resident Evil 4 too.

 

 

So, instead of easter eggs, Nishimura’s games have "easter beetles" I… can’t recall seeing any of those in Bayonetta though. I think I was too focused on dodging attacks to trigger witch time to give the background much attention. Did anyone notice any beetles in Bayonetta?

    Oh, and am I the only one who was more hyped for Bayonetta but ended up loving and playing Vanquish more? Both games are (and still) awesome though.

      but Bayonetta wins for me. still Vanquish is one of the best 3rd person shooters ever :P

    bayonetta 2 here, bayonetta 2 there, does anyone here recall why kamiya, mikami, inaba and co left capcom!?…well, among other things of course, they left capcom beacuse they didn´t had the freedom they wanted, they were tired cause they couldn´t make new I.Ps…they constantly complained about capcom´s policy of making sequels… so, making a bayonetta 2 or a vanquish 2 may not be the way to go for these guys…and why so many people are so obsessed with sequels!?… Is it something wrong with bayonetta or vanquish? does they really NEED a sequel?

      No, nothing was wrong with it. In fact, they were so good, we as fans would like to see their ideas expanded, taking what we love, and giving us a new experience.

      Treasure did something similar(left Konami because of creative difference, doing a bunch of sequels), but that didn’t stop them from doing sequels to Sin and Punishment. And that sequel is FUCKING AMAZING, much better than the original. There’s no reason Platinum Games can’t do the same. They established a new ip with Bayonetta, sold over a million copies, now its time to expand on that sucess.

        well, yes, you may have a point with s.p, the sequel is absolutely perfect, but you have to consider the fact that it was made 10 years later, and Wii controllers were just begging for a s.p sequel. (In fact, we got lucky they localized it). Of course that there´s a lot of great sequels (I wasn´t trying to say that sequels are always a bad thing) but I believe that they, as creators, need some time, they need to be “left alone”. Look at anarchy reigns, you got jack cayman, but it´s not a madworld sequel, I personally prefer that kind of surprises rather than a direct sequel…again, I´m not totally against sequels (specially if that sequel is made by the same team behind the original) all I´m saying is; let´s just wait and see what these guys are capable of.
