Producer Shigeo Komori opened a blog for Nora and the Carving Studio: The Witch of the Foggy Forest, which comes out pretty soon! Atlus announced the game last week and set July 27 as the release date.
Komori said in the middle of developing Etrain Odyssey III he was secretly working on another game, which turns out to be Nora and the Carving Studio. He came up with the initial idea by himself, but constantly asked the question how can we make this project better.
The Etrian Odyssey III team suggested that the atmosphere of the game should captivate players. Komori also listened to suggestions from the Atelier series creator and ideas on how to design the game for fans of pixel art.
Unlike the Etrian Odyssey series this game is not a dungeon crawler and Komori previously said it will not be as challenging either. Nora and the Carving Studio has the essence of a Gust game since players will take on helpful item creating missions to prove Nora isn’t a witch to the local villagers.
