By Spencer . May 9, 2011 . 1:26pm

sf3Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Online Edition ticked off requirement for a worldwide release. The downloadable game was just rated by Australia’s Classification Board.

Capcom still hasn’t set a release date for the online enabled version of Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike, but a rating suggests it will be sooner rather than later.

Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Online Edition is in development for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Just a few days ago, Capcom representatives said Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Online Edition has the highest budget for a digitally distributed game to date.

Just a forewarning guys, expect flowchart Kens in this game too. >_>

Option select parry :) Anyway, Ken is actually top tier in this game though. If GGPO is any indication, the online competition is going to be brutal.

Option select parry; great response. If GGPO is any indication, Denjin Ryu will be top tier.

Will 3S’ tier list gonna be a bit different from the most recent arcade one? Also, it seems parrying is a must-learn for this game.

The tier list is going to be the same since they’re building this version off of the arcade version (revision.A) I’m speaking in terms of offline though…

Once you add in online play (and latency), the tier list becomes less important. Using parry in an online match is far less reliable than playing locally because lag will change your parry timing. Parrying it still good to learn though, but like i said, don’t rely on it.

He is; I still remember that EVO footage between Daigo (Ken) and Justin (Chun-li).

Also, I previously read Chun-li is supposedly God Tier in 3S.

Chun and Yun are definitely the S tier in this game. While there are some players out there who were able to do amazing things with a lot of the cast, most tournaments are known for having very few characters represented besides Yun, Chun, Ken, Dudley and Makoto.

My fave Alex Super Art is Hyper Bomb, which is either 5 consecutive German suplexes or 2 German suplexes + Power Bomb finish.
