Time To Watch A Trailer For The Atlus X Atelier RPG Nora And The Time Studio

By Spencer . May 9, 2011 . 9:09pm

The first video of Nora and the Time Studio: The Witch of the Foggy Forest focuses on Nora’s crafting powers. Similar to the Atelier games, players gather materials and create items (like cheese!) for townsfolk. Nora is doing this to prove her innocence. People, including the hot-headed Lutz, believe she’s a witch.

Initially Lutz sets out to defeat the witch, hoping to bring home a fortune for doing completing the task. He brandishes his blade in front of Nora, but ends up joining her party instead.

Atlus has not said much about it, but Nora and the Time Studio has a battle system where three characters engage enemies. In addition to Lutz, a blue-haired girl and an armored maiden with a spear join during fights too. Another brief scene shows a player gathering a brownish plant with a pointer finger. Perhaps, this uses touch screen controls?

There’s a lot for Atlus to reveal in the coming weeks before Nora and the Time Studio: The Witch of the Foggy Forest makes its debut on July 21.

    This game looks amazing

Let’s see…an SRPG with Etrian Odyssey artwork….it can’t lose! I’m always down for a new Atlus IP.

      My thoughts, exactly.

I don’t think this game can be considered an SRPG just because it has grids in the battle system! It seems very similar to Atelier Annie’s for example, and you don’t hear people calling that an SRPG!

I’m super hype for this though! Hope Atlus or NISA will localize it! Hopefully either of them have mercy on my Gust-loving heart…!

Color me very interested! Can’t wait to hear more on this.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but wouldn’t creating items using magical powers sort of make people more suspicious of her witchery?

    • puchinri

I didn’t think she was using magic to create them (since we see the stuff in test tubes and all too). But maybe I just missed that or something. But that is a good point, lol.

Oh gosh, Nora is too cute, and the Atelier-ness is more apparent (but Nora actually reminds me a bit of Poach now too!). Oh man, do want now. ♥
I’m really enjoying the other characters’ designs too. I’m excited for the game.

I love the music. I hadn’t heard anything new from Michiko Naruke in a few years. Glad she hasn’t lost her touch.

SRPG + Atelier-ness + Etrien Odessy style art?

    MY BODY IS READY.

Really hope this gets an english release.

I’m a sucker for this type of game. I’m looking forward to this!

Please Atlus USA bring this over. It’s too charming to leave in Japan!

Having finally gotten around to trying Annie, I really like these sort of games.
