In Final Fantasy Type-0 summons are called war gods. These extremely powerful deities can turn the tide in battle, but at a huge cost. You have to sacrifice a character’s life to summon a war god, which makes this move sort of like a last resort tactic.
Familiar Final Fantasy ally Ifrit arrives on the battlefield covered in flames. Blazing Bullet (left), one of his attacks, has Ifrit lob massive balls of fire at enemies. Eruption (right) makes flames burst out of the ground.
Golem can defend other characters from damage by triggering Burst Mode. Megaton Punch makes Golem shoot his fists to deal damage.
Machina Kunagiri uses a rapier in battle. With swords in each hand, Machina can rack up hits and create long combos. His special attack Spin Drive rotates the blades at a high speed as if they were drills. This powerful move requires some energy from the ability gauge.
Rem Tokimiya uses dual dancing daggers to strike enemies. Her special attack, Aspir Venom, saps MP from enemies, but requires some energy from the ability gauge to use.
