110518_a_12While there may not be anymore .hack games in development, CyberConnect2 hasn’t forgotten about the series. On June 3, the .hack//Complete Creation Materials Compilation .hack//Archives_03 will go on sale.

This massive package includes: a book with storyboards, CyberConnect2 illustration works, a printed copy of a .hack//Q&A, and special soundtrack CD with eight songs all in a case. Oh, and you get the Book of Twilight, which CyberConnect2 design staff Miyoshi is proudly holding.

With concept art, character relationship charts, and explanation of the curse the Book of Twilight is one detailed look at the .hack universe. The entire collection has over 1,500 illustrations. Gathering them was very hard work, Miyoshi said. More pictures of the books are on the CyberConnect2 blog.

The limited edition set (only 1,500 pieces) costs 10,000 yen ($122). The Book of Twilight alone costs 6,700 yen ($82).

  • .hack/sign is still one of the memorable series to me. I tried to get into the later series, but got lost easily. I think I still have a G.U. copy…

  • Sam

I want….. but I am not sure if I can fully justify the cost at the moment D=

  • Well. I pretty much want this like burning.

  • Wiccan1109

Wow, thats really cool. O: I sure do miss .Hack, but thats a bit expensive for a book lol.

  • Boy, if I had seen this a few years ago I’d be all over it. The original .hack tetralogy was a favorite on PS2, though I don’t remember ever beating Quarantine. I should probably do that sometime, along with checking out G.U.

Also loved the .hack//Legend of the Twilight manga and anime, having unknowingly purchased a bootleg off eBay..

  •  So wait, is that “Book of the Twilight” a physical copy of the Epitaph? As in the epic poem that The World is based on!? DO WANT.

    • Just looked more in-depth. A little disappointed, but still really cool.

  • Oni123

I guess you can’t just pic this up on amazon then =/

  •  Man this brings back fond memories.

  • need to buy this…NOW!

  • That looks awesome. But the price is not that awesome…

  • APixelatedMind

The question is, can someone from…say the US buy this awesome little package? I would love to get my hands on it.

    • My guess is you’d likely be able to import a copy from a site like Play-Asia.  Don’t hold me to that though.

  • holyPaladin

    Yoshiyuki Sadamoto arts

  • It might be a noob question, will there be any .Hack//G.U artworks inside? And anyway, the cover itself looked majestic. I mean, the expensive price for me is worth enough for the whole set! Hawt.

    • No GU artwork in this one, but the first two archives (second archive is split into 2 volumes) focus on the GU movie and games. These are all incredibly indepth.I think this one is also supposed to have Link related material as well, though I’m a bit fuzzy on that detail.

  • AzureNova

    I want a .Hack series for the PS3 >_< !!!!!!!!!!!

    • PrinceHeir

       oh yes please :P

  • nice stuff, but too pricey :)
    that being said…
a new .hack anytime soon please?

  • My body was supposed to be ready today……

    I NEED this!

  • Geez that book is gorgeous but ouch! price tag.  I’ve been out of the .hack loop for so long, I didn’t know there were already two archives before this one.  I might just have to do some serious searching for 02 and 01 if I’m getting the third one (damn the completionist in me).

  •  Wonder if it has the complete Epitaph.

  •  I think I need to go change my underwear > – >

  • This book is like porno to me.
