ds3Square Enix and Obsidian have a demo planned for Dungeon Siege III and it’s coming next week. Xbox 360 owners get it on May 31, although it’s unclear if only paid members will be able to access it then.

A Square Enix newsletter explains the Dungeon Siege III demo will be available for PlayStation 3 and Steam about a week later on June 7.

For more on Dungeon Siege III check out our hands-on impressions of the game’s opening. The build we played closed off part of the game asking players to purchase the full game, so we may have played the demo early.

  • Wow so we PS3 owners have to unfairly wait? This is l337suxx0rz to the fullest :( I hope the demo wows me, the game was on my to get list, but the delay made me rethink of how quality the game could be.

PS3 owners? It hurts more for PC owners since we have to wait also. First 2 Dungeon Siege games were only on PC by Gas Powered Games, and then it gets handled by Obsidian and published by SE to be put on the opposite spectrum of audience focus as far as marketing demos.  The funny thing is that Gas Powered Games was part of Microsoft, yet the 3rd one is done by 2 completely different companies.

Honestly overall it’s kinda disturbing me more and more on how the game’s going to play out. :(

  • Game looks good to me, pretty angry that I have to wait just because I have a PS3…I guess I’ll try the PC demo if it comes out the same time as the 360 version.
