Even anime icon Haruhi Suzumiya couldn’t resist GREE, the mobile phone social network service with Knighs of the Crystal and Yakuza games. Nexon Mobile developed The Union of Haruhi Suzumiya, so fans can interact with the SOS Brigade when reality gets boring.

This mobile phone title has a mix of quests and mini-games to complete. While The Union of Haruhi Suzumiya is free, Nexon plans on microtransctions to make a profit. Register early and you get a bento box (digital item) as a bonus.

The Union of Haruhi Suzumiya service kicks off on June 15 in Japan. Nexon plans to have in-game events, but didn’t specify what those are.

Now maybe this is just me, but why does it look like that recent Haruhi official drawings use an art style which is far more similar to K-On than the first series?

I haven’t watched the second season, so I’m not sure how it was there.

It’s the same in the second season.

  • Oh Gree. You tempt me everyday at work.

We’ll see how long I hold out.

It seems that it is slowly becoming a trend in Japan that good game or anime must have a Mobile phone game edition and this also the other reason i curse Japan for being soooo stingy as only releasing this game exclusively for Japan Mobile Phone.
