And we’re not saying that just because Treasure developed both games. Radiant Silvergun for Xbox 360 has a secret bonus – Ikaruga shooting style mode. Specific details about this mode were not announced. Ikaruga uses a clever polarity mechanic where you switch between light and dark. Only bullets of the opposite polarity can destroy your ship.
Radiant Silvergun has been upgraded with HD graphics and Dolby 5.1 surround sound. For the sake of nostalgia, you can switch to the original graphics. This port is based on the Sega Saturn version, which has a story mode. Treasure also included the original arcade release too.
Microsoft has not announced a date for Radiant Silvergun, but since they’re talking about it again we should see the game pop up on Xbox Live Arcade sooner rather than later. Radiant Silvergun will cost 1,200 Microsoft Points ($15).
