Imaginary Range Downloaded Over 300,000 Times

android-reg (1)Since it launched on May 5, Square Enix’s experimental comic meets game Imaginary Range has been downloaded over 300,000 times. Being free is likely helped Square Enix get circulation numbers that high. Square Enix is now working on an Android version of Imaginary Range, which is being tested on a DoCoMo smartphone.


While there are tons of the iPhone app store has a handful of Final Fantasy games, a port of Crystal Defenders is the only Square Enix game for Android so far. Chaos Rings, an iPhone RPG developed by Wild ARMs studio Media.Vision, may appear on Android as well. Responding to fans on Facebook, a representative said Chaos Rings is "possibly" their third game for Android.

    • I highly doubt it’s any sort of priority.

  • I’m glad #ImaginaryRange got so many DLs.  I don’t want to wait for our lives to be over… for the Android version.  >_<

  • I played through it recently, and was not impressed. The story is nearly incomprehensible, and the minigames are essentially poorly implemented clones of other iPhone games. Still, can’t complain about the price!
