Monster Hunter Dynamic Hunting Flicks Onto iPhone Next Week

img_0123Capcom is bringing the Monster Hunter series to iPhone with a totally different style of game. Monster Hunter Dynamic Hunting has familiar monsters, but instead of teaming up with friends players flick at the screen.

The game starts with choosing a weapon – one-handed sword, dual swords, or great sword. Then you tap on Ylan Kut-Ku to attack and slide to dodge attacks. After a fight, you collect loot which you can use to create better equipment.

Monster Hunter Dynamic Hunting will be available on the iPhone store starting June 1. In Japan, the game will cost 800 yen ($10).

    Eh…That’s it?
I guess this is one of those things that’s more fun than it sounds.

Technically, “whole new way” and “worse” are not exclusive of each other. >_>

It just seems to me like this minigame won’t even feel like Monster Hunter at all.

Fruit Ninja with Monster Hunter monsters?  I… can get behind that, actually.

I used to think there would never be a Monster Hunter game I just plain wouldn’t want.
    Looks like I was wrong!
