We’re About Caught Up On Dissidia 012[duodecim]: Final Fantasy DLC

dissdlc2Costumes for Vaan, Yuna, Onion Knight, Laguna, and dozens of songs have been released for Dissidia 012[duodecim]: Final Fantasy in Japan. When are these add-ons coming to North America?

They’re already here. When the PlayStation Store went back online, it was packed with extra costumes like Sephiroth’s Kingdom Hearts costume. Bartz’s dancer outfit and Terra’s striped dress are available this week. Each additional outfit and three track BGM pack costs $0.99 cents.

Square Enix has yet to reveal downloadable costumes for a handful of characters including Kefka, Kain, Golbez, Exdeath, Frionel, Garland, Cloud of Darkness, Ultimecia, Prishe, Gabranth, Jecht, and Tidus.

    First awesome and finally

  • I think Ultimecia outfit is up also or was it Cloud of Darkness

  • KotaroInugami

Don’t get me wrong, I love costumes. Had we gotten Tales of Vesperia PS3 I’da bought every last one. But I feel this is milking a mediocre game…

  • Already got them. And I love them.

  • Revorse

I’m still waiting for Squall’s in the US

  • Unless Sony fixed their error and didn’t tell anyone about it, some of the DLC that should be up is missing. They listed some of the DLC as being on PSN at last Friday’s update, but as of the latest PSN update, the DLC is still missing.

  • PrinceHeir

will buy them once all of them has been release :P

  • This is old news… which makes it not news.

Liked all of them, except Bartz’s dancer costume. From 20+ jobs they were able to choose from they chose one of the gayest (or “meh-est”). Seriously a gladiator costume would have been awesome and wouldn’t be as repetitive as, you know, choosing a knight or samurai costume.
I know, it’s hard to say this taking into account the emperor’s DLC costume, but there wasn’t much to choose from in his case, and the level of additional detail is kind of impressive.
About music, I’d still like to have AC’s one winged angel version released, but that’s just wishful thinking.

    • Actually, out of all the job costumes for Bartz, his Dancer garb is arguably the most popular and recognizable.

      • doomspeller10

Recognizable? I could swear the freelancer was the most recognizable, for it is the one that appears in the cover of the original snes game and psx port. Popular? Well, if we’re talking about Japan I makes perfect sense, though I’ll admit I disliked Amano’s (alt 1) costume even more. If Japanese fans like something, the rest of the fans just have go along with it, that’s probably why we didn’t get new additions from VI and IX in the first place.
That being said, Bartz has far more potential for DLC costumes than most characters, so it wouldn’t come as a surprise to me that he gets more costumes than anyone else.

        • Scrooge_McDuck

Freelancer is less a “job costume” and more a “default, regular clothes”, and it’s already in the game, anyway.

In any case, Dancer is actually the only Bartz’ job costume that both:
          – Is not similar to any other character/job in the whole series.
          – Doesn’t even resemble his own party’s outfits when they have the same job.

          • doomspeller10

In that sense you’re absolutely right, all the characters look different in the dancer job look really different. And yes, the freelancer does come in the game, I did only mention it for its fame. Still, they could use some of those jobs that have only appeared in FFV and the spinoff series.

  • …I still can’t believe Balthier wasn’t chosen as a playable character in this game.

    • You are [NOT] alone :( . At least we did´t get Dysley the space pope.

  • actually bartz and terra and the music packs from V and VI were remove from NA psn and also we didnt got shantotto wedding dress AF3 blm DLC. EU did yesterday.

i wounder why are they removing stuff like that??

  • raymk

I was one of the people who bought it the first 30 minutes it went up on the store.  It was funny when they took it down though lol.

  • So far, I bought: Bartz’s Dancer outfit, Yuna’s Gunner outfit, Vaan’s Pirate outfit and the Emperor’s fourth alt.  And I had to pay 2.50eur for just four outfits, so it will take me a while before I get all the alts and the music packs :P

  • STILL CAN’T LOG INTO THE PSN. It said I had to change my password. but then when I did, it said it was down for maintenence. And now I can’t log in at all. And the “forgot password/reset password” has been down since the day they said the psn was up.

I think I’ll just be buying Terra’s alternative since I really like it. Perhaps a music pack or two as well. 1 dollar isn’t too bad. (Cecil gets free DLC with FFIV: Complete Collection, right? That was the other costume I really liked.)
