iPhone App Gives New Meaning To Final Fantasy Fan Mail

By Spencer . June 15, 2011 . 10:00am

imageTired of bland e-mails? Want to spice up your company’s annual report with moogles? Then you’ll want to check out the Square Enix Characters Mail Final Fantasy Collection on the iPhone store.

This app is a collection of digital stationary with Final Fantasy themes. Final Fantasy VI Advance, Final Fantasy IX, The 4 Heroes of Light, and Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children are some of the titles included. Square Enix promises updates every Wednesday at noon, Japan time.

Square Enix Characters Mail Final Fantasy Collection also has emoticons – like a white mage and a cactaur. Not sure what either means in conversation. Maybe, "I’ll cast cure on your bad day *white mage*?"

Sealing e-mails with chocobos costs 230 yen ($2.85).

What about bringing Before Crisis to the west? It’s not like current cell phones can’t handle the game… and obviously there’s the option of porting it to consoles.

SqEx apps are like the only reason I’m glad I have an iPhone

  • The only problem in this app is that it’s in a japanese language. I can’t understand a damn single thing! I wish there was a translated version for this app or I wish I could understand japanese… >.<
