Are You Ready For Aquapazza?

By Spencer . June 16, 2011 . 9:59am

Because Aquaplus and Arcana Heart developer Examu are about to release the crossover fighter in arcades. Set for launch on June 22, Aquapazza brings together characters from To Heart, To Heart2, Tears to Tiara, and Utawarerumono in one game.

      how bout a PS3 version?

  • I sincerely hope so, since #Aquapazza is featured in @TOUGEKI 2011.

I imagine with only ten playable characters listed so far the assist characters play a much bigger role than KoF strikers or Marvel assists.  I’m wondering if they add as much diversity as Arcanas do in AH.  Definitely interested in this.

Since it uses one of those new fangled arcade boards that can get updates I hope they can continue to add to the cast though.  Ten characters just isn’t a lot.  Needs some Kurusugawa representation too~

Such a shame that both Utawarerumono and Tears to Tiara never managed to be localized (PC patches aside, and TtT’s PC edition was a thousand time worse than the PS3 one), something that will impede the localization of their upcoming sequels, too :(

Oh well, at least Aquapazza being a beat’em up can be enjoyed without spending hours laboring with a kanji dictionary, and seeing Aquaplus’ PS3 focus I think a console porting is guaranteed.

Speaking of niche 2d beat’em ups, I’m currently playing Phantom Breaker and I must say that it’s far better than I thought after seeing the videos posted here and on SRK.

I’m not gonna lie, I only care about this because I’ve been a fan of Examu for years.

Well… that, and it has a number of Utawarerumono characters in it XD
