Senran Kagura’s Director Was So Busy He Couldn’t Even Go To E3

20110615-sensei2No rest or vacations for Keinchiro Takaki, the producer of Half-Minute Hero Super Mega Neo Climax and Senran Kagura: Portrait of the Girls. On the development blog for Kagura, Takaki wrote he didn’t even go to E3 and spent his time concentrating on developing the Nintendo 3DS game. A second trailer is being prepared and Takai plans to put a surprise in it.

Takai says teacher and student relationships are an important part of Senran Kagura. No, the nature of the relationship is not scandalous. Some students, and we’ve seen a bunch of the girls enrolled in the Hanzo ninja academy, admire their teachers.

Kiriya, shown as a silhouette, may be one of them.

We need more good people like this man. He clearly has his priorities set straight.

    • blah blah

    • I didn’t hear a lot of excited reactions about this year’s E3 in any case, so I guess he spent his time well.

    • doomspeller10

Wait, if he originally wanted to go to E3, would that mean he wanted to announce a localization at the event? *¬*

      • Darkrise

Did he even both mentioning about wanting to go to E3? Well if that actually was his intention, then all the more reason to praise him for trying.

  • Too bad they are not going to release this game oversea..

My Jpn 3DS’s bottom screen is crooked (technically slightly but very noticeable and annoying especially when it cost $380..) and NoA said they would repair it free of charge (rather than replacing it w/ the US system), I hope it would go well… and I’d get it back to play this game..

    • Sorry to hear about your screen :(, but its nice that NOA will fix it so your import investment won’t go to waste. That’s the thing about importing that I always feel worried about myself.

      • Aoshi00

Yea, for months every time I picked up my 3DS, the bottom screen’s unevenness really bothered me and I thought there’s nothing to do other than letting it go..  and it just drove me nuts now they put out the update and I d/l several vids, even when looking at the dozen of icons on the main menu they’re all crooked *.*  So I couldn’t stand it and finally give NoA a call last week.  The guy at first said since it’s a foreign system (I told him I bought it from an ebay seller), they could not repair and could only replace w/ a US system.  But I said mine cost $380 instead of $250.. then he said there’d be a $70-80 fee to send it for repair, I said that won’t work since he realized I alrdy paid much more for my system. Later called me back two times after consulting the tech and finally said I could send it back free of charge for a repair, he was quite helpful.  I’ll let you know how it goes.

Last time I was lucky my Jpn 360 died right before 3yr warranty was almost up, and I requested them to replace it w/ a Jpn system and MS down in Texas did.  I was expecting the worst like getting a beat up refurbished US system, but to my surprise they gave me a almost brand new Jpn system (but old HDMI less model) like requested.  I was told that I lucked out.

  • Compare to E3, the only thing that concerns him is G2.

    Which stands for double G.

  • So very dedicated!

  • XypherCode

surprise? i hope it’s a localization lol *as if* :P

    • Darkrise

Each day brings us new prospects and surprises. ^^

  • AzureNova

Now that’s what you call dedication! I so want this game to get localized! This, along with Devil Survivor, will be my reason for buying a 3DS.

  • PrinceHeir

    boobies :D

  • Covnam

I imagine that the surprise will not be bouncing, as I think everyone expects that.
