Mao, Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice’s top student at Evil Academy, returns as a downloadable character in Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten. In addition to attacking with machines from his lab, one of Mao’s abilities is a reversal move. The Devil King’s Warcry gives Mao an attack power boost proportional to the number of enemies map.
Nippon Ichi also made Mao a custom pirate ship called Getter Mao, a homage to Getter Robo. The ship parts come with an extra scenario to clear and are sold separately for 200 yen ($2.50). Characters, like Mao and Prier below, are 300 yen ($3.75) each.
Prier doesn’t have a ship, but she has her Holy Breaker special attack and can strike enemies twice when using regular attacks.
Pink is a deathsabre who is a huge fan of Axel. In battle, she can use Moon Deathblow.
Players can also get tiles for Disgaea 3’s classroom setting to use with the map edit feature in Disgaea 4. These cost 100 yen ($1.25).
Kuro’s axe, an item based on one of the Sony Cats, is a freebie.
