Batter Up! "Travis" Takes A Swing At No More Heroes: Heroes’ Paradise

By Spencer . June 26, 2011 . 11:13pm

Ever see someone dressed like Travis Touchdown play No More Heroes? That’s how Marvelous decided to demonstrate the PlayStation Move controls in No More Heroes: Red Zone Edition.

Or as it’s known in North America and Europe, No More Heroes: Heroes’ Paradise. Konami confirmed their version of the game will have the same features as the Japanese version, albeit with English voice acting.

No More Heroes: Heroes’ Paradise will be available for PlayStation 3 on August 18 in North America.

I honestly wish I had the money for PSMove just for this game (and maybe Child of Eden), because playing the game with a standard controller is atrocious…

    • Aoshi00

I didn’t find the controller atrocious at all, anything that could be done w/ motion could be mapped to a btn.  Even Child of Eden felt immersive w/ Kinect, I heard for precision it’s still better w/ the controller for the on-rail shooter. So far I like Move games like Tumble or maybe that Monkey undressing game :). Didn’t use the remote nunchuck for Last Story either.. I think I would just use the classic for Pandora’s Tower too..

You never played NMH on Wii, did you.  Moving your arms when directed to do the wrestling moves was awesome.

        • Aoshi00

Didn’t I tell you I own NMH 1 & 2 on the Wii (I got 2 in case it wouldn’t get get ported)?  I played the first one on the Wii but didn’t care much for the motion control, the speaker on the remote is a nice touch though, otherwise I prefer the contrller personally.

The controller play ıs pretty good ımplemented, plays smooth enough for me, İ also bought the move for this tho, also great, maybe İm too much of a couch potato though cause İ prefer the controller so far~

          • Aoshi00

lol, I was gonna say I’m a couch potato that’s why controller is better for me (that’s one reason).. and I don’t really like moving the coffee table whenever I play Move or Kinect games *.*…  I bought Move on day 1 alrdy, I’ll give it a try to see if it plays better than the Wii remote, if not, I liked the controller from Paradise, the only thing that stopped me playing was the horrible loading times and freezing before.

While I haven’t played the full game yet, I played the demo to this game using the standart controller and I really liked it. I was afraid that would hamper the experience, but I was pleasently surprised to see that it all went nice and smooth; I find the game very playable still with a regular controller.

  • AnimeRemix

Yeah… I think I’ll stick to getting No More Heroes 1 & 2 on Wii… I played the demo for No More Heroes Paradise for PS3, and I just didn’t like the controls for it. Now, maybe I would have a different opinion if I bought PS Move (since it’s almost like a Wii Remote). Still glad that this game is getting a HD release!

  • PrinceHeir

    i cannot wait for this:)

let’s hope we have No More Heroes 2 Heroes Paradise in the near future with the same features as this one ^^

this along with Shadows of the Damned, Catherine, Deus Ex HE, KOF XIII

    ahh gaming :P

  • Code

    What no Travis hair? That’s not hard to emulate at all >O>! But hooray NMH finally dated owo;

  • shadowind

I’m surprised it’s not out in North America yet as it’s been out in Europe for about a month or so…

    • Aoshi00

BTW, the Euro ver doesn’t have dual track right?  Just waiting for the cfm the Jpn Red Zone edition would have dual track like Paradise before and I can decide to get the Jpn or US ver.

      • https://twitter.com/RaiohV ShinkaRaioh

Yes no dual track for European version, at least mine doesnt.

        • Barrit

I saw on the UK PSN they have the NMH DLC up. Have you purchased these and if so, how good is the katana? (I’m assuming the TSUBAKI M-O-E is a katana)

          • https://twitter.com/RaiohV ShinkaRaioh

Sorry for late reply and no, I haven´t purchased the swords yet(no money~). Just the view mode and that´s exactly how you think it would be~

        • Aoshi00

Gotcha, thanks for cfm’ing Raioh, in that case I guess the US ver most likely won’t have dual track either.. Now I just need to cfm the Red Zone edition, I hope they didn’t take away the English since Paradise had both before..
