Take A Closer Look At Cave Story 3D

As we reported earlier today, Cave Story 3D has been delayed from its intended August release to November 8. NIS America just sent over another update – a new batch of screenshots of the Nintendo 3DS version. Take a look at the top and bottom screens below.

      If I could choose one of these games, i would prefer to choose Cave Story. But Modern Warfare 3 will be/is more popular as Cave story and It will sell unfortunately alot better than Cave story . IMO

    There is something about the graphics that just looks unfinished.  I think it’s the textures.

    Every subsequent time they release new screenshots it looks a tiny bit better, so I’m all for them delaying it a few more months.  Also, the more extras they can add in the better.  3DS gamers are going to have a lot to look forward to this holiday, possibly too much.

    There is still something very awkward though about the way the shrubbery and spikes stick out of the ground, it just doesn’t look “natural” if that makes any sense.  Also the textures could still use a bit of work, but all in all it’s starting to look much more impressive.  As all the previews said though, it apparently looks fantastic in motion, so I’m hoping before the game’s release we’ll be seeing a trailer on the eShop.

    Man what is going on, some screenshots on previous batches looked super dark while these look better.  This is one of those “judge this in motion” games by far.

    Everytime I see this I wished they went for sprites, or make the game look closer to Prinny titles (with the sprite mode I guess they are?).

    Either way, it is cave story and still want to play this.
