Goku Fights Ape Vegeta In New Dragon Ball Z Ultimate Tenkaichi Screenshots

In their North American announcement, Namco Bandai promised Dragon Ball Z Ultimate Tenkaichi destructible battlefields with massive craters. It seems they were eager to show this feature off since we have screenshots of a Kamehameha tearing through a battlefield.

Spike’s yearly Dragon Ball Z game has Oozaru or Great Ape fights too, which use quick time events during the match. Dragon Ball Z Ultimate Tenkaichi will be available for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on October 25 in North America, a few days before the game’s release in Europe.

I doubt the video is how the game actually plays. More like the FF13 video that they just put an overlay of abilities, status, etc.

  Indeed, the scale and amount of detail in the design is almost unparalleled. It’s also making me hope that the devastating effects of Ultimate attacks (that raze the surface of the planet as seen in the Budokai and Tenkaichi games) make a comeback as well.

I hope this DBZ goes farther and much more successful than the others because I’m a huge fan of the manga and anime. Recently bought DBZ RB 1 because the DLC was free and contained most if not all of the characters from the main storyline. Read about DBZ RB 2 and how it’s not that much different but contained characters that have never been in a game to date. Await more news concerning this game.
