First Live Gameplay Videos Of Saint Seiya Chronicle

Saint Seiya Chronicle made its public debut not in Japan, but in Paris’ Japan Expo. Namco Bandai Games Europe brought a build of the PlayStation 3 game there. Developed by Dimps, Saint Seiya Chronicle is a 3D brawler.

 

Europe will get Saint Seiya Chronicle in 2012, which is after the game launches in Japan this fall. While Namco Bandai announced Dragon Ball Ultimate Tenkaichi and Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations for North America, they did not say anything about Saint Seiya Chronicle.

    Not bad, but it seems to be missing the lock-on feature. A lot of Seiya’s moves went through empty space.

      If I recall right no musou style game had Lock-On feature, it’s not like you need it in the first place~

        Yeah, but you could rotate the camera around, and I don’t see this here. And you guys didn’t get me right. I don’t mean a lock-on while he fights but when he fires his meteors. Can’t you see that he fires them towards the empty screen? It seems to me that you don’t know if there enemies alive or not.

          Yup, that’s just how the Musou games are. In Sengoku Basara and Gundam Musou, if you miss with the pistol, you miss. That’s why you rotate the camera or guard, to reset your camera and continue firing.

            Not quite sure what you are talking about. In Dynasty Warriors Gundam your shot attack typically auto aims.

          Oh I see, sorry then. Yeah no camera control is pretty lame and oldschool. As for the meteors, I don’t know if you played Hokuto Musou, but the meteors seem like the 1000 fists of Ken, as long as the enemies are in the attack range the get hit, though no idea how you can see anything when you fire at the screen~

            Huh… Nevermind. I just saw the other two videos, and they were missing a whole lot.

          Seems like no rotation at least for this build, the controls are largely for attacks. The right analog is unused and I’m not sure what Rafale Cosmos and Septieme Sens is used for. Maybe you’ll just have to lean on Guard a lot for camera reset.
